There are going to be more disasters in Americas - Take note of how the U.S. government treated those in New Orleans - Don't forget! Get prepared! In case of a nuclear bomb, another 911, storms, financial crisis/depression...Americans better get prepared and STOP DEPENDING ON THE U.S. - They did not even drop food or water for these people. Today - no one knows what happen to all of the money donated to rebuild the cities.
Yet another example of how the elite in this country really don't care about the rest of us... people suffering in our country, but they drop food and aid to people in another country... all in the name of political gain.
Since when is it acceptable for Baghdad to be more important than the people in New Orleans?
A question that all must ask, when the next disaster strikes... what else will we the people be forced to give up?
"You're doing a heck of a job brownie"---George W Bush
So, when the leader of the country gives that kind of endorsement to the man in charge of the agency responsible for the management of this disaster he deserves no blame at all?
Maybe not, but his stupidity alone deserves a scolding..
this was a monumental government fuckup forget for a second the storm itsself those can go either way cant really predict how bad a storm can really be til after the fact but allowing people to basically fend for themselves and basically die waiting while mr mission accomplish does a fly over after this happens on airforce one fema walking round like chickens with their heads cut off, this is how one should get impeached not over some skank intern
I'm sorry but you can't put all the blame on FEMA and the federal government. NOAA warned people about the hurricane's potential days before it made landfall and people should have had more sense to GET OUT! Should've the government handled the situation better afterwards? Yes. But, the death count would've been much lower it people would've listened to the forecast.
offical hurricane guide says expect to go 7 days without after a major disaster. they got help in 4. not being insensitive but they're the ones who stayed.
That's a bullshit statement. The gov't can help refugees thousands of miles away in a milisecond, but they let their own people die in the streets and in their homes? That is simply unacceptable. FEMA and the Bush administration let 1,500 people in New Orleans, alone needlessly die in their own neighboorhoods. It's distgusting.
I am compiling a montage of Katrina footage. I am looking for a very specific piece of footage. The clip is a news report of a woman reporter stopping a man and his two children(I think two girls) asking him about his experience. He replied something to the effect that he tried to hold onto his wife's hand but that the water current was too strong and he couldn't hold on and that she just got swept away.

Totally agree. That was heatbreaking to watch, and heartwarming of Nate to take care of the dog.

To blame the president for this is asinine. Only a moron would believe that.

Educate yourself. The majority of people who stayed had no choice. They didn't have money to evacuate.
