  • mark hoppus has one!

  • I do have a beautifull Hurricane MM. It sounds great. Love it. My favorite one. Rick

  • I'd love to buy this bass! Contact me if you want to sell it!

  • i have a stingray 5, and what i love most about this bass is the incredible sustain

  • This bass player looks like the sound engineer in Two and a Half Man´s episode where Charlie was helping Mia cut some demos, lol...

  • beautiful bass. When i bought my american p bass, musicman was my second choice

  • i love how people think slapping is the pinnicle of bass talent, and that certain basses should "only be slapped". people of this sort tend to think music and playing have some type of devine "rules" as well. hilarious.

  • @youknowyourrite1 demoing a stingray without slapping is like fucking a girl on her period, you can do it but it's really not worth it.

  • @abar1204 hahaha... ohhhhhhhhhhh. poor you.

  • @youknowyourrite1 poor me? lol i'm good man i dont need any sympathy

  • No Slapping ?? On A Stingray !! Wow!

  • Do what you want

    on the BASS. That

    SIMPLE!!!!!!!!

  • Is this bass good for punk/indie?

  • The most Music Man and Sterling basses are good for rock and metal , but you can use them for everything and it still sounds good.

  • is the sound always that zing-ish or is it just because the strings are new?

  • @syndrom666 you forget though that more bassists slap than use a pick because if you play fingerstyle close to the bridge, it gets the same tone. Pslapping is funner than going up,down,up,down..........

  • I've owned Ps,Js.Rics,Spectors,Warwicks,T-birds all good ....but a Stingray works best for me.

  • Thanks cdp1! Appreciate the backup, but due to the fact that we have many young customers we don't allow profanity on posts on our channel...

    Peace!

  • hey, let the man play! Slapping is an acquired technique that can add value to your playing style if you know how to incorporate it into your technique. It's no where near easy, nor is it a newbie thing to do. So unless you know the fingerboard like the back of your hand, I wouldn't recommend slapping just to slap it. That's stupid and pointless. I see that all the time at music shops where every consecutive bassist tests out the bass by slapping. What about picking?!!! did everyone forget that?

  • @syndrome666 I wouldn't really mind if there's no slap, but, because I play metalcore and a little melodeath, I want to see it picked!!!

  • Damn!! I have an Ice Blue Stingray HS, from what I understand it is not a very common color, and it has been discontinued. I purchased mine on Amazon about a year ago, and when I did, only 2 were left. I would love to know who was the lucky person who purchased the other one. You gotta love this "discontinued" color!!!

  • chill guys, he's probably a guitar player

  • No, it doesn't have to be slapped.

  • You need to be slapped around..

  • Stingray needs to be slapped around.

  • the pick guard looks like the moon!

  • @TechSmack to remind you how much the bass weighs

  • @Craptron2000 LOL

  • the maple fretboards sound better than the rosewoods

  • Bajista pa malo!!!!

  • i own a HH fretless version of this:)

  • My god that is a nice finish... Ice Blue?

  • Cool demo, but IMO you really can't demo a Stingray without slapping it.

  • @Tooltrocity Actually you have to demo a stingray non slapped, because every other yahoo thinks of Flea being the ultimate slap happy bassist that brought the ultimate slap to the bass world and revolutionized the stingray bass. How about listening to some of Justin Chancellor's bass lines in Tool, he used the stingray for their most popular songs, and not a note of slap there.
