@lacy2101 I'm sorry, I think we were mistaken about the tone of your comment. I usually speed-read youtube comments and the syntax you used was similar to many ignorant youtube comments that say "so-and-so copied so-and-so and they suck" so it registered that way.

Oh yeah, and many newer folk songs are just reworked melodies and lyrics of old folk songs, that's just the nature of the genre. Compare Bob Dylan "Song to Woody" with Woodie Guthrie "1913 Massacre" (I know, it's a tribute)
