700 mph at 100 feet, and I know how long the plane is and it's reference so I suggest you change the title. And it may not be the 50 feet the blue angels do but averagely Thunderbirds fly 50-100 mph faster than the Blue Angels. Love both teams though.
@benchaffleck you fucking idiot. The speed of sound at sea level is 760 mph. And while i agree this was not 700 mph when it passed the camera it was over 600.
@benchaffleck wow you must feel insecure if you view my comment as "tough". You have been informed don't get mad at me because you failed to do your research.
He sure was sneaky! I will be going to see them perform at Nellis AFB this coming November if the weather is good. I have been for the last two or three years and I live in California. I fly there out of Ontario International Airport, land at McCarran International Airport, pick up a rental car from the airport, and then drive to Nellis AFB to watch the air show. Afterwards, I return the car to the airport and fly back home. It's only an hour's flight from Ontario,C.A. to Vegas and vice versa!
@22inchstrong Enjoy the video! But I would have to say that is not 700mph. Only reason I say that is you can hear it coming before it gets to you. But anyways...its all about the views right? =) Check out my channel for some good videos.
Angle of attack is different than a straight sneak pass like the Blue Angels. There are a lot of factors when determining exactly how fast a sneak pass is. But from the e-mail I received from a spokes person for the Thunderbirds said it's close to 690 MPH.
Now this is a cool video! It looked like the plane was close enough that you could almost reach out and touch it! Hit up my page some time and leave a comment or like, thanx!
NICE SOUND

definitely not 700mph. If it was, you'd hear nothing then it would pass in the blink of an eye then... boom!

@benchaffleck He's right, it was the knife's edge but not the sound barrier.

I'm usually not picking up where the sneak passes are coming from until they are right over my head. Great work.
