  • The Buick LaCrosse CXS is a reliable car.

  • bmw ,you better watch out!!!

  • @nighttrain334 and lexus this car ride's and looks amazing

  • I love it!!!!! One Of The Best American Cars!!!!

  • this looks amazing, but i rather liked the 'old' one too

  • buick needs a sports car, or at least a sporty one

  • most of their cars are already pretty fast...

i own a bone stock 2000 buick regal gs that comes factory super charged and i have already beat 1 honda and a toyota in a race...

    =)

  • me too bro. get a JMB FWI and delete your ubend and resonator for added kick and safety for your engine

  • to nordfan or something like that...

Its absolutelly not wrong! It is built on the same platform...thus it is the same car! Only the carmaker makes you believe its an authentical american built car. The car is built on Rüsselsheim, Germany and Opel (GM's dependency) got a contract for another 70000 units till 2010...check international news. There you go!!!

  • That Buick LaCrosse is actually an Opel Insignia made in Germany...

Thus Buick is building nothing, but importing those cars from Europe.

btw. it wasn't designed to atract young buyers but to recapture the middle class for GM in Europe.

  • Absolutely EVERYTHING in your post is wrong. It is BASED on the same PLATFORM as the Insignia, but is larger. LaCrosse is being bult (As I write this) in Canada . It was planned by Buick, both here and in China where Buick is so popular.

As for the "middle-class" thing, how can a Buick that's not sold in Europe "recapture" the "middle class"???

  • Damn what a difference a design makes, Now finally Tiger Woods can really drive this thing lol, because we all know the Buick brand has taken a serious old white man driver beaten lol. Im black as they come and Im trying to get my wife to get this car so I can drive it lol it looks like a lexus nice work.

  • The original Lacrosse is actually a nice car. My grandfather has one.

  • This looks 10 times better then the 09.Its about time the body looks good. Now someone can bye the cheapest model and but some rims on it and it will look great.Shit I may get one.

  • this thing kicks ass

  • Finally after 5 BMWs there is an American car I would consider!

  • Yes I like this Buick. It looks great-as good as any Japanese or German Car. But what does it do on the road? What about performance?

  • 'cause it is a German car!?!

  • I never though i'd consider a Buick as my next car, but this lacrosse could well be it. I normally go Japanese, but GM and Ford are giving me pause. This Lacrosse looks like a great value.

  • other than for safety for side impact crashes

, why do side windows keep getting smaller and smaller.

i personally like a little view to look out the window and lean my arm out lol

  • I work at the Fairfax plant in KC....this is our new car! =)

  • Great, tell us how does it look in person?

What can you tell us about color choices?

When will they start shipping the car to dealers? Any other info? Thanks.

  • The car looks great in person. I really like what they have done with the interior. Its got a very futuristic appeal to it. As far as color goes I don't know too much just yet. I think that the colors choices will probably be very similar to the choices available on the Malibu.

As for shipping to dealers...we will start mass production on the Buick by the end of this month....so I would assume by July you should be able to get one =)

  • Very smartly styled!

GM Development keeps rollin with another excellent design

  • GM has made something thinner than the atom?

It's the chrome plating on the Lacrosse POS!

  • "if buick can build cars like this lacrosse... they may be able to ditch their dowdy image"

more like if buick can keep taking opels/vauxhalls (this one is the opel/vauxhall insignium) while the american public is oblivious, then they're a shitty brand with no ideas of their own.

  • sorry its called the insignia... my bad.

  • "they may be able to ditch their dowdy image" ... yup, and tomorrow I'll be suitin' up for the Boston Celtics. Hahahaha!!!!

  • I thought thats u XD! That was too cool! Your cousin is amazing! Thanks

  • lexus rip off

  • This car is simply a 9-5 Saab rebadged and smoothed, most of the interior is straight from Saab.

  • No, more like Saab now exist as a parts-bin mish mash of parent company GM. Do your homework...

  • Yeah, RIP Saab. point still stands if GM wants to give Buick a "new image"(i think you'll agree) they need to quit recycling the parts we recongnize from other GM cars. I understand it cuts costs, but it's misleading to label a car as "all new" when they share key components that have been in other vehicles for years.

  • its not a saab but its not a buick either. it comes from gm's european opel brand, it's called the opel insignia.

  • Actually the Opel Insignia is the basis for the upcoming Buick Regal, not the new LaCrosse.

  • not true i heard it from both a european and an american source, plus the press release from general motors themselves.

  • With your logic you can't then say an Infiniti G37 is the same as a Nissan 370Z. Same platform sure, but different cars.

Platform sharing is everywhere. It's not as simple as taking a euro spec Opel, throwing on different grill and emblem and calling it something else.

  • they are the same car!!! this is different though, they took everything except the name. they took the interior, the look, and probably the engine too. the infiniti is the same car, but scaled back a bit to be more luxurious. the opel/vauxhall and the buick are identical. most americans will be too stupid to look it up though, so most wont know. honestly this is fine, but buick will advertise about how great it is that america can make such a car but europeans made it and that pisses me off

  • its actually a stretched opel insignia(not that insingia isnt a land yatch in to begin with)

  • lol i know! what pisses me off is how saturn's slogan is "rethink american!". but their cars are opels, so how are they american? im sure buick will advertise here also how great it is how america can make a great car, but it's not american. all we do is take a good car, and put shittier suspension on it, and call it a day. and also cross out opel and write buick. lol

  • yeah buick ficked wen stopped makin Grand Nationals

  • It looks like a combination of Japanese & European cars...

  • A crappier Lexus IS-F

  • the IS is a pos to begin with.

  • bui...what!? Lame

  • Buick is back baby!...

  • I don't think GM has the time to re-image Buick. They should just sell Buick overseas, like China where people are buying them like crazy, because they never seen what Buick looked like back in the 80s and 90s. It took GM like 20 years finally get Caddie to become cool again, Buick is a lost cause like the Olds. Let it go GM, focus on Chevy and Saturn if you want young buyers, maybe Pontiac too.

  • lexus posers......still is 4 older people though,........like 80y/o

  • The rear kinda looks like an altered lexus.

  • This car is so gorgeous!! Its such a shame it has that fuckin Buick badge clamped on it. GM needs to start saving all of their good design schemes for Chevy and Cadillac. They are wasting great style on a car that no one under 75 is going to buy!

  • wow i take that back the interior is pretty nice its still for old people cause of that buick badge

  • they should call it the Buick La' Crap.

  • how much will it cost through....and what do they mean by young buyer??any1 under let say...60?

  • the avg age group might drop from say 85 to 55....

  • hahahaha

  • This one's pretty nice, compared to the old ones...

  • Buick will never be bought by young people. I would take a G37 any day of the week over this.

  • Buick is not aiming for the G37 crowd. They are more interested in getting people out of their Toyota Avalons and Lexus ES350s.

  • I think Buick's sales in China have helped GM retool the brand here at home...and boy, did they need it. I'm very impressed with the Enclave (although SUV's aren't my thing) and the LaCross looks amazing.

  • younger for Buick is anyone under 80 yo. I'd say they might make their goal.

  • Sounds like a great car.

  • He keeps saying this is different, and yet it looks just like every other car on the road.

  • This looks pretty nice!

  • My granny has always driven Buicks and this would be nice for her.

  • Saab headlights. Nice try GM. 98 Regal GS all the way.

  • I agree, Buick has always been in the family and see it as a truly luxury american car. I am getting one, for sure.

  • Not sure what he means about Buick's reputation. Personally, I think they've always looked classy and refined.

  • Looks good !!!!!!!
