The governor is there for a reason. It's to stop your tires from blowing up from going over their rated speed. Don't blame me if your stupid enough to take the governor off and blow up your tires at 120+ MPH.

I'm about to buy a used 06 laredo V6 myself. I test drove it and it was really smooth riding. How well does it drive off road? And is it just as smooth at 100 as it is at 70?

3.7 just isn't enough for the jeep. The WK is heavier than the previous WJ. The hemi is the way to go if you can afford it. At the end of the day tho it's always nice to see a fellow Jeep on the road.

i kno . i have an 09 5.7 now :) its 10 times faster. but at the time i had the laredo that was hte car i had so i got the most out of it .

Nice video. I have a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. It comes with a 4.0 straight 6 motor. I love it though. I have hit 101 mph in mine but that's as far I feel comfortable taking it up to. Anyway, nice Jeep & take care of her & she'll take care of you.

unfortunately this jeep u see here in the vid was wrecked by the dealer, it did not take care of me , it was in for a transmission rebuild at 50k, and had weird noises as well as almost stalling here adn there. haha i love jeeps tho this one was F****ed upp tho. after they rebuilt the tranny they test drove it, and wrecked it. i have a 09 hemi now . =]

I hear you on that. They stopped making the straight line engines for Jeep I believe in 06 or 07. If you know anything about those they are much better than the V6 engines. Too bad they wrecked it but it sounds like you got something better now. Post some vids of your new Hemi up if can.

well i have a 98 cherokee with the 4.0 ....solid engine, can take a beating forever. they stopped making the 4.0 in 04 or 05 and it was only in the wranglers and maybe some grand cherokees at that point. by 06 they were 100% gone =[ ...the 3.7 had decent power and torque, but when you raced around in it , you had to be on the gas 24.7, and got around 11mpg. my hemi u barely touch the gas and ur flyin . and i get 14 or 15 even when "racing around" ill get to posting hemi vids soon.its fast

That's the same deal with my Camaro. I tap it gently & it wants to sail. I bet that's why I see Corvette's going slower than other traffic on the road, the gas pedal is so sensitive, lol. My Jeep is cool because when I start driving up a hill or on the road faster my rpm's just go up so easily. Smooth sailing.
