  • l'un des meilleur routeur !!!! buffalo sont exelent aussi rhoooo !!!!le coup de meuleuse n'as rien changer !!!!!!

  • I get these for $5 each at the Flea Markets. That must have felt pretty good! I hate it when a piece of equipment craps out and you struggle with it only to find it unfixable.

I find a 26oz. framing hammer to work well and relieve stress at the same time.

    Nice video! 2 thumbs up!

  • oh please destroy a TP-link next time my customers always complain about them

  • put linux on it, it'll still work.

  • chek my cannel. i have a vid of me killing my router of the same type with an ax. im slow-motion

  • Hope you let the warranty void intact! ^.^

  • can i have those ufl to rp-tnc adapters and antennas please

  • some people make magic with this kind of tecnology and other just ..........stupidity.

  • You want that router? because I'll take it if you don't want it

  • mine just got struck by lightning.

  • this video should be re-titled..... how to open a piece of shit router ;p

  • its actually pretty decent with the DDWRT modification

  • This router was probably still perfectly fine, and just had to be reflashed with (better, such as dd-wrt) firmware. Even if that failed, you could probably still recover it with a serial cable...

  • @cyberdems Agreed!

  • see i just threw mine in the trash....less mess to put in the trash.

  • shop safety fail. always secure your workpiece.

  • i wnt the anntenna

  • You might be a redneck if you...

  • Wow

  • you should have used a sledge hammer! thats what im gonna do... piece of $H!T IS TICKING ME OFF

  • Flash your router:P if your not using the DDWRT mod, way better.

  • what a genious!!! He solved the problem within 1.40 mins.. I'll put him on the top of my linksys repairman lis. ;-)

  • you should send this to linksys and see what they say..

  • Ahhhh! I didn't see any of this.

  • This is what I wanted to do when I bricked an iPhone......

  • great video for educational purposes!

  • It is easy to repair before. What a waste.

  • Not repairable. I know how to repair them but this one was dead.

  • oh realy? what compoenet was fryed that was un-repairable?

  • power supply. ya rly.

  • Power supply is not a componet, Power supply is a group of Component usely a Transformer or inverter, resistors, and a transistor/voltage regulator. Yes there all repairable/replacable, Infact there the easiest parts to replace. The only things on that router that are un-replacable are the Masked IC's. And sense you stated it was the Power supply thats not the issue.

  • It just a router. I am sure it was very satisfying to pwn me with your extensive router knowledge. I thought it would be funny to do and I did it. No need to over analyze.

  • I agree with you.

  • @Krezer Your the man, Krezer!

I L'dMAO watching you kick that thing's ass.

  • @Lokivoid shut the fuck up you faget get a life and stop trolling vids

  • Hi u can do mine to, somehow mine got bricked when i uploaded OpenWRT into it the 7.09 kamikaze for wrt54gl so never use that firmware!! only use DD-WRT ,i recommend u drive over it with the Beegle! LOL -_o

  • He has a beetle!!!!!

  • unfortionately the seperation of the siemise routers was partly down to the brutality of the surgeon but mainly it was the fact that they shared a proccesor , ramdisk and main lan port , despite having an antenna and annoying set of blinky lights each...

  • so yeah what was the point to this?

  • nice job

  • Did this mod fix the problem?

  • oh, and if it's neither than software won't fix hardware faults btw.

  • There are two types of product out there.

*Things that just work out of the box.

*Things that require user intervention to work and may work much better than others afterwards.

    Guess which one this is?

  • LOL

  • thats not how you open it mate =)) the front pulls off =)) i would love to of done that, got a belkin thats goin in the trash soon..... and i got some fireworks left..... hmmmm :-? :-D wheres my cam!!!!

  • the ORANGE CISCO SYSTEM LIGHT and WLAN light never come on with my router anymore!! is my router broken?? i can get online using my dsl/broadband connection but i cant go wireless!! HELP!!!!! IF I CANT FIX IT ILL END UP DOING WHAT HE DID TO HIS ROUTER IN THE VIDEO!

  • Dang I could have used that! Anyway let me get the beetle away from there before it gets cut up too!

  • Bravo!

  • wtf? First of all the cutting procedure would have been MUCH easier if you would have used that vice grip in the background. Secondly, there is still use in it; it's called E-RECYCLING!

  • yay do it again!!!

  • Nice, it had to be done.

  • dee dee dee

  • you said the router went bad, does this mean; it does not power up or does it mean the firmware was not functioning as it is designed to ?

If the router was still powering up - you might have been able to install DD-WRT or other freely available open source firmware on the router and solved the problem.

  • Would no longer power up. It was done...

  • Time to have linksys funeral

  • lol fu*king linksys !! shite !!

  • moron, are you trying to cut ya heands?

  • hhahahahaha, it make me laugh, i fucking hate this linksy G is suck and ask for PPPeP and password and i fucking hate it, B is better and so easy to set up better than this G crap and i have a new G today and its fucking suck!!!!!!!!!!

  • Uhm...

Speaking as a Systems Engineer & head of a corporate Infrastructure department, I think I can speak for the educated masses when I say, "...What?" heh

  • wow you sawed a router... you're a badass.

  • yup just like how ma bad ass for not returning shopping cart back to there place! god dam i hate people that pose video like that , what a waste

  • whoops! Accidentally marked your post as spam, even though I meant to reply.... my bad.

Yeah I was half expecting to get flamed for that comment, but it's good to see some people agree.

  • yeah take that all you cheap linksys

  • That was too funny! Man oh man I almost woke up the whole neighborhood I was laughing so hard!

  • the work gloves make it comical

  • I did the same with mine with a sledge hammer, I did a tomato upgrade and found it was too difficult to get the wireless bridge to work so I downgraded to ddwrt and that killed it for good. tftp was totally dead and no life with Jtag. Wasted 5 hours and took a sledge hammer to finish it. Also did the Pin 16 bit still nothing. It was just totally dead.

  • Haha, that was fun to watch

  • instead of breaking it, i would actually save it. you never know, you might need it again for something

  • You are stupid man's idiot.

Ever tried tftp and a firmware like dd-wrt or X-wrt to bring this peace of hardware back to life? I guess not.

  • Was not a firmware issue. The chipboard was done. Could no longer be powered up.

  • device got burned like mine? piece of...I called and they say "sorry but it's not under warranty"

  • thank you i never even got the change to see how it work these things is nothing but a headache i waste so much time trying to get help from both my provider dsl whom i purchase it from and linksys to help set me up ... the english was terrible... i gave up and told them i was sending it back

  • Nice!!!!

  • it's probably not your router it's your modem? Did you fix the problem? CUT UP YOUR MODEM TOO IF IT IS THE PROBLEM LOL

  • dude having a router is not a problem for u and ur neighbors routers, just set up the router password thing on it.

  • Out of all the stupid comments posted, you take the crown for most idiotic. I have no idea wtf you are talking about.

  • LOL are u retarded? hahahaha

  • this is the WRT54G v5.0 ?? xD

  • holy shit? What the hell happened to it?

  • There are no bricked linksys routers.

Anyone who tells you otherwise, don't know what the are talking about.

Just like santa claus, you belief it until you know better.

Have 5 linksys routers in use working like a dream.

only 1 of these routers i have bought, the rest was given to me. (so called bricked)

So guys if somthing is bricked, don't destroy it use it as a unbrick project (reading is required) then only then you might learn santa dosn't exist.

  • 0_0 pwned.

  • Could you NOT hear Darth Vader's voice saying "You have failed me for the last time, Admiral"?

    :-)

  • What a waste. Linksys routers are great and can be modified in so many ways. You really have to hack them though, otherwise it's just an average router.

  • linksys are shit, the only reason they are modded is that they are shit to start with, know one care if they brake it, they are dumbed down cisco crap, use a real brand like netgear, belkin, or do as i do and use last years industry standard like cisco, the non civilain belkin stuff

  • I understand your anger and frustration same here, I got the WRT54gs nine moths ago, the only good thing about this piece of crap is the antenna, after suffering for a month I decide to get a modem router, the diamond supramax DSL 42, cost few more dollars but really easy to use, so far no problems in the last eight months, I remove the antenna of the Linksys and use in the other router. I will like to destroy my Linksys with style so at the end of this year I will use a lot of fireworks.

  • owned

  • OMG i have never seen a linksys router more useful!!! really!!

  • show parts inside Macro and zoom inside parts

  • good !!!!!! this keep crashing on me everyday !!

  • thats cuz it overheats...a fan might help

  • That is an old version of the router. Try getting a new one, the v6 model of the same thing. Total difference. Look at the front perhaps.

  • i one had the same model off ebay but everytime i tried to install it the dial tone went dead . but i think belkin make the worst routers thats why i use netgear

  • do not hold my balls

  • T_T descanse en paz. :(

    R.I P.

  • u could sell it on ebay and make some many

    :(

  • ARE U FUCKED wat was wrong wif it to start of with

    !!!

  • OMG! Retard!

  • :-(

  • I could have fixed it, before the grinder. What a waste.

  • No...you couldn't have.

  • Yes I could. What a waste.

  • If you could had... then you would know what the problem is..... linksys = POS anyways.... nice video :D I should do that to the linksys voip router that I have that the storm just killed earlier today.

  • ouch
