If its not in 4/4 with no more than six chords, they're just not into it.

This is neither new nor experimental. This is pretty basic Drum'nbass Trip Hop. Roni Size was doing this when Sub-Pop was happy making money with Nirvana, Mudhoney, L7, etc... Actually I think those days you can call this "Vintage".
