  • Wow, that just sounds awefull. Sorry, but I see where the dislikes are coming from.

  • all the pressed white indie rock boys disliking this video, maybe you should try listening to the lyrics of this song and the influences of the music (or maybe even more than the first 30 seconds) instead of just writing it off because it's not your standard ass sub-pop style. MisterSensitivity is dead on. y'all are good with shabazz palaces because it gets you indie cred, in cool with the hip-hop kids. riiight.

  • the reason why it has so many dislikes is because he's not singing in a key...

  • there's so many dislikes because indie fans are typically the most closeminded music fans.

If its not in 4/4 with no more than six chords, they're just not into it.

Also, if it's not made by a gang of skinny upper middle class white guys with manicured fringes it's not good, the music is second to the look.

  • This is neither new nor experimental. This is pretty basic Drum'nbass Trip Hop. Roni Size was doing this when Sub-Pop was happy making money with Nirvana, Mudhoney, L7, etc... Actually I think those days you can call this "Vintage".

  • i'd still rather listen to this than shearwater

  • put some red on it bitch!

  • What is this chicanery?

  • Love the lyrics. Great message!

  • Worst shit I've ever heard coming from Sub-Pop.

  • yeah why is there so many dislikes?

  • Sick beat

  • mmmmmmmmmmmmm poop

  • Pretty good. I think there's potential in this. Nice break from typical indie and hip hop.

  • Not even hip hop, so shit, ITS not even like Khat holy shit, odd future style rapping over a shitty back track

  • finally subpop uploads something interesting, better than the generic indie pap usually found here.

  • This is a very interesting twist on Hip Hop with an added flavour, it's good to hear the different genres of music collaborating to produce a new sound.

Being progressive in todays music industry means?

Pushing the boundries a little to see what can be achieved?

This would only expand the horizons for music into the future.

  • Wtf why so many dislikes?! It's facking awesome

  • @lelouchh1 b/c it doesn't sound anything at all like modest mouse, but i'm pretty sure you've got the right of it, sir.

  • Some interesting sound coming out of Johannesburg these days, eh?

    Good on you, subpop.

  • Raw, sounds good, can't wait to hear them more in the future

  • I like it.

  • this would be okay if the artist knew what the term 'pitch' means

  • hahahahahaha....it does sound home made....with some lego beats and a poor mic

  • needs more auto tune

  • @orimathath lolz

  • WTF ?

  • Okay Sub Pop, just because you signed one amazing hip hop artist, doesn't mean they're all gold.

  • I can haz distribution too?

  • sounds like this song was home made

  • I wanna click away but i can't...wow...
