*snickers* Yeah, this is pretty much how it turned out. There’s some beautiful music in the show, but the plot is just so off that not even the Australian production can salvage it.
well, geez i'm sorry. but you gotta know: the storyline and plot for the sequel is SO out of character it isn't even funny. Erik and Christine had a child...?!? Erik makes out with a mannequin?? Erik owns a freak circus show?!? Erik becomes obsessed over power and money??? he dresses up like a clown?!?!?!? I'm sorry. But it sounds like a joke or one of the worst-written fanfictions I've ever read. So... THAT'S why I insult andrew. But I have nothing against him personally.
You're sooo right! Why would Erik DO all that?? Erik is just one of those characters who change so many people's lives!! Why Andrew ruin such a beautiful ending? Why?!! =( It sounds to me like the mother lode of disgusting fan fictions, it totally is!!!

Not only that, I cherish the character of Erik. And why can't I defend that? I'm sorry I sounded a little harsh, I'm sure you care about things. So do I. I love God with all my heart. But the character of Erik has touched my life and many others'. I just don't want him to get demonized.
apparently you have no desire to respect the reasons why people like me first came to care about the Phantom. People like me KNOW the story and the characters and KNOW why we dislike it. We're not trying to be jerks. Perhaps you've never come to love something to the point of defending it. That's all I'm doing.

I don't like either of those rumors. I hate Gerard in the movie and I don't care for Sarah's voice at all, so I doubt I would like her as Christine now, especially when she's clearly too old to play her if the sequel is going to be set only 12 years after the original musical ends.
just a dumb idea, not the video, its awsome. the sequal. PotO was a show written out of love, true love, thats why it was so deep. theres no way he just "wrote a sequal out of love <3<3" no, he's just trying to make a cheep buck now.

I hate it--hence why I made this video to mock it. :) Hopefully this will actually happen after the sequel premieres and people will realize ALW's nothing but a greedy guy trying to hold his place in the spotlight when it seems clear that his glory days are gone.
*giggles* Oh my...ALW meets the Producers. And if the sequel happens, I can't help but agree that this will be fitting. A part of me hopes we'll be shocked, that it'll turn out to be good, but that's overly optimistic. Anyway, very ingenious of you to make this.

I hope it is prophetic about the fate of the sequel.I love ALW's music and like most of his shows a LOT, but I don't want or need a sequel to POTO.
Unless the first act tryout at Sydmonton meets with a really bad reaction from the invited guests, it will happen.
May it rest in peace---and quickly.
One POTO is more than enough for me.
I'm glad none of the original actors or creative team, as far as we know, has anything to do with the sequel.
