The fixed camera angle really helps to convince the viewer that this expensive device is actually a star wars style hologram, instead of a just a projector on lightly tinted glass.

3D goggles of some sort would probably look more realistic and three dimensional, but that sort of defeats the point of having a holo cube to begin with.

if you want people to actually see the effect in the video, then you should have moved the camera around so that we could see the picture from different angles. :)

just out of interest, if displaying a static 3d image, is the viewer able to change perspective of this image i.e. could I move left and see a bit more of the side of the 3d object?

Also does the image appear in front of the box, behind or inside?

shoot this video with 2 cameras and play back the two corrisponding images side by side we could see the 3d effect although you would have to cross your eyes but trust me the effect is great...

i know hows it done its mostly a part i seen in other youtube vid for hologram it is done with a reflection from a display on the bottom of the cube and reflects onto a piece of glass

i would have to see it in person but that doesnt look like its giving me a 3d effect. So its just a box with a projector?

It's not working with a projector, and believe me it gives a 3D feeling, there are standing all day people in front of our window to watch. I understand your problem of not seeing the 3D effect ONLINE.

It's all about the 3D feeling my lady.

All the images used on the system are three-dimensional images, but projected as two-dimensional images into a 3D stage set. The mind of the viewer creates the 3D illusion.
