  • Don't be negative against this product , if it is well used it is not supposed to break. I enjoy mine since 3 months now and I crashed it 2 times because I used the ''expert'' mode in a small room. Use it like it worth 400 dollars and you will avoid crashing it.

  • This looks like a nine eagles solo or free spirit with the exception of the gyro. I will say they were great to learn orientation, etc. and are the perfect size to play in the house. Also, getting parts is huge so being able to get them local instead of sourcing from HK is another reason to get an eflight instead.

  • this is the best heli ever! it does not fall off if u crash it on the wall! the only thing is the main canopy is thin plastic and it cracks easily...

  • @muchensmile

    True

  • This broke the first night i got i holds the it. The top and bottom "T" that holds the blades on the center shaft broke. they slide right through. 50 bucks down the drain...

  • @MrShawnp26 Im sorry to here that. RC helicopters can be difficult at first. Its about patients and commitment. Dont get rid of that heli yet though, replacement parts are available. Call our shop(RC Hobbies & More) at 860-738-7534, and we can help you buy some parts for it, and get them shipped out to you ASAP. -Jeff Zotter

Jeff, i took this little guy to my LHS to take a look at it. I even called horizon about parts! I broke the blades off of the blade holders which means i needed to purchase what i think was called the main-shaft (40.00). I went back to the LHS today and picked up one more RTF scout. I now have a lot of spare parts, as well as a total of 3 batteries. So far, really cool.

  • @MrShawnp26 good to hear. good luck with it, and have fun!

  • @MrShawnp26 All part of this heli are replacable

  • I ordered mine today. I don't fly enough heli to be really good at. I have a 4 ch Proto CX and I have a hard time holding altitude with it. So I see the Blade Scout as a fun and relaxing heli to fly and will be glad to see it as part of my collection.

  • I just purchased one today....I'm already having trouble installing the flight main battery Errr.....I know it "key way" in.....but giving me tons of grief.....it just won't go!

  • @robbie2737 hey did you buy it from our store? if so, call or bring it in, we will be more than happy to help you out and will apoligize for any issues, if you didnt buy it from us, you may still call us(we open at 11 am tommorow (EST) or call Blade tech support

  • @RCHobbiesandMore Thanks for the reply...not sure where your shop is located..this Heli was bought in NY....Anyways,I found out what the problem was..it seems that the manufacturer mounted the female plug for the main battery pointed just a slight bit upwards causing the alignment for the terminals not to line up after sliding battery through holder...I had to snip the foward plastic battery holder...this way when I plug in,I have a tiny bit of play to plug in..a simple tiny mod. was necessary.

  • I just bought one of these for my son from our local hobby shop and it only cost me $8.00 more then a piece of crap Air Hogs fly crane. This is way better then a walmart toy and all the parts are replaceable. I returned the toy and bought the blade scout!
