  • They must have just called him a monkey in the 1930's lol

  • THAT MUST HAVE BEEN DAVID BELLES DAD!!

  • ahh. the good ol' days. when people looked out for eachother and Parkour wasn't frowned upon.

  • Why would you ever redub the original music with awful bullshit?

  • He must've been such a fucking hero back in the day.

  • Hi!

What is this music under the video?

  • 1:33 they had truck tires in 1930?

    and pan/tilt cameras...

    wait...

  • @stickymousepad

pneumatic truck tires - invented 1919

and theres nothing a pan/tilt camera can't do that a steady hand also can't do. he was a stuntman, and probably had movie industry friends help film him.

    MYTH BUSTED.

  • 0:38 - 0:41 i wanna know where the hell the little kid came from?

  • How can you have absolutely no fear like that? Insane . . . Insanely awesome.

  • @54Aaron88 This is just a small part from a documentary called Gizmo! from 1977 ^^

  • @54Aaron88 Agreed.Vid is awesome, song rather blows.

  • I miss the older song..

  • millions of dollars are spent every year to train modern pro athletes and they pale in comparison to this guy. it looks like they would be better if they abandoned steroids and began chowing down on spaghetti!

  • @58athlete

This guy would not stand even a slight chance against these said modern athletes if they were competing in the athletes sport.

  • Is this Assassins creed ?

  • Revolution Song - Circ

  • The most interesting man in the world.....

  • @TheModelisme01 tres profond :)

  • good time no fucking police to stop yo from doing parkour and jump into windows ... :D good time i wish you in this time :D

  • this is real jackass

  • Phil i believe you've changed the sound of the video, haven't you? man, honestly, this song has absolutely nothing to do with the images, it's way better silent.

  • what the shit happened to the music

  • Parkouring wasn't Found by David belle. He just started to do it in The City to get from One Place to The other. The Armee of France already did something like parkouring in the woods for their fitness in The 19th Century. David belles fathe showed it to David belle.

But David belle wasn't the First One who did some Stunts like this. This Stunts weren't called parkouring but they are the Same.

    Excuse me for the mistakes.

  • From the start to 0:54, that's Italian-American amateur stuntman John Ciampa. The footage is from a Paramount newsreel shot in 1942, when Ciampa was 21 years old. Ciampa's childhood heroes were Tarzan, Errol Flynn and Douglas Fairbanks, Snr. and Ciampa became known as the "Brooklyn Tarzan". He worked in construction but occasionally made extra money doing publicity stunts.

The rest of the footage shows German stuntman Armin Dahl.

  • dare evil-

  • Everybody stop making Assassin's creed jokes from these parkour videos! It's obviously Prince of Persia!

  • ...parkour was not around in 1930. parkour was founded by david belle

these are stunts, quite like parkour, but not parkour per-say

  • I LOVE how he's still "free running" up the ladder to come out of the water and has this huge smile on his face 1:18. Legendary.

  • 1:12

    Are you fucking kidding me

  • well that guy s certainly not a templar lol

  • Much cooler then now.

  • Amazing stuff!

  • In case someone is still wondering what the song in this video is, it's Circ - The Revolution Song.

You can find it right here on YouTube.

Also, this video kicks ass, big thanks to the guy who uploaded it.

  • Nice!!

  • Those are some wickedly sick jumps toward the end!

  • He's like the Jackie Chan of the 1950's. :D

  • its probably someone time traveling and got stuck in the early 30's ...

  • 12 peoples didn't like spaghetti! :P

  • the song: Nicholas Hollander - The stuntrunner

pls respond with a link if you find it online

  • at first I was wondering if they had so awesome music in the 30's. But reading the other comments, it was re-edited in the 60's, so the music was probably form that time.

  • @olesto you must be the smartest person on the whole world

  • @olesto dude...... that music is definitly not 1960's..

listen to the quality, the electronic sounds etc, would say the song is 1990's+

  • this youtube is now my manliness check list

  • the 12 people that clicked thumbs down needs to watch again and retract that, if not they can just eat a dick

  • Brilliant! Is this authentic?

  • The song, what is the fecking song!?

    HUNT IT DOWN INTERNET!

  • @Gergaloth Circ - The Revolution Song.

  • @Gergaloth Theres an ipod app that can tell you the name of a song when u hold ur ipod close to the music so it could listen. You could try doing that to find the songs name

  • @stichguy I have a program like that on my cellphone, but it didn't recognize the song.

  • @Gergaloth

try typing in "revolution song" as the voice says in the beginning.

  • @Gergaloth hint: look up the lyrics on the internet as you hear them.

You're technologically impaired. You're one of the guys that would die if alone for 12 hours.

  • @Gergaloth Circ ~ Revolution Song

  • @Gergaloth Circ - Revolution Song

  • @Gergaloth Revolution Song by Circ.

  • @Gergaloth A reason by Circ

  • Looks to be in the 1950's.

  • @bballaman92

that kid had knickers on- those weren't worn by kids in the 50's.

  • He had on his face the carefree look of a child.

  • flow lepszy od ilabaki i bella

  • crazy stunts.

especially the water dives dont look particulary healthy to me - say bad dive-in phase. ouch!

  • This clip is from the 1977 documentary film 'Gizmo!' The first part of this clip is originally from a 1942 paramount newsreel featuring John Ciampa eating spaghetti and ending with his carrying a kid on his back to the rooftop. The rest is Arnim Dahl.

  • Just eat your spaghetti!

  • Looks like Daniel Ilabaca.

  • what is the song called?

  • OMG we have gotten worse lol this was epic.

  • Nothing like some good old-fashioned child endangerment.

  • Wow...Go Germany ;)

  • german? he probably skittered up a tree and knifed some allies.

  • Some date is incorrect somewhere with this - as that guy is not 8 years old.

  • @thelastmike Lol.

  • 1:09 goddamn...

  • I'd imagine this was about the time they started using the whole "don't try this at home" disclaimer.

  • 10 ppl dislike this. they are morons, obviously.

  • @01:21 Did he really need to break the glass to prove that he can jump out of a window?

  • HAHAHAHA scaling the wall with a small child on his back. You *definitely* won't see that done these days.

  • Nicholas Hollander - The stunt runner

    from the movie Gizmo (A)

  • Beautiful song.

  • haha, i lol'd.

  • wow, from now on he really is my hero

  • SOOOPER

  • a link for download the song??

  • This guy can live

  • whaen did parkour start?

  • 1:36 must of hurt

  • It's crazy how people just watched that poor guy repeatedly attempt suicide without getting him the mental help he desperately needed. That's just apalling!!!

  • all i can say is, damn his fast o_O

  • yeh parkour isnt 90 years old... open our eyes huh... maybe u should...

  • Technically it was. Parkour is the name given to the discipline of natural movement by David Belle in the late 90's. Pakour has been around for thousands of years, it just never had a name...

  • By the way Parkour is just a name they use today. But this type of physical activity has been going on for thousand of years. We can even go back to the Neanderthals and the great apes. Parkour is just a trendy name for something that's not new.

  • @amxrtdket True, its not like people couldnt flip, jump, grab, balance, trick before parkour came. I mean damn, if anything it was probably more popular more back then than it is today. They aint have electricity.

  • @amxrtdket I know what you mean, but I would'nt put it that bluntly. Parkour - the way David Belle first tried to teach it - is as much a philosophy as it is a sport. It's not primarily about doing fancy tricks or even about learning to move efficiently, but about learning to face obstacles in a mental level as well as physically. So despite the fact the things practiced in parkour are nothing new, I wouldn't say it's just an empty word. :)

  • This guys makes the pro parkours of today look like little schoolboys.

  • His name was Arnim Dahl.

    (12. March 1922- 3 August 1998)

-Was the most popular stuntman from Germany.

-Lay more than 40 times in a hospital, and had more than 100 fractures.

-Stayed in total more than 4 years of his life in a hospital.

-Jumped from a 47 meter high crane into the water of the Hamburg harbour.

-Was the double of the moviestars in more than 50 films.

  • I'll add that to the videodescription, thnx :D

  • @mankizki This means that he was 8 in this video

  • @shoorablader this video wasn't ACTUALLY from 1930..

  • @mankizki No he dint't make it

  • errr... if im correct parkour started in the 80s

  • ye but maybe he was doing it not as parkour but just like hobby ( I mean maybe he didn't call it parkour )

  • i tought it started in the 90s

  • somewhere in the 1980s

  • um yeah maybe it got popular then but before then and for hundreds of years people have been able to "free run" like this. Open your eyes man.

  • smells like some fake stuff around...

    1930? mmmmm....

  • That song is tight. Does anyone know what it is?

  • 1:02 The best

  • The raw film is most likely from 1940-1950, later edited in the 1960s, therefor the cheesy 1960s music.

    but still impressive

  • Crazy man!!!!
