U don't read much do u? The game even clearly says she's a light diner, she mentions that if she wasn't full she would probably eat the heroines (of course this changes after defeat). Other official sources even state that Remilia gets the name Scarlet Devil because she spills a lot of blood on her dress, and it's also state she doesn't drink enough to kill anyone intentionally.

This song only plays when you fight Remilia, and you can only fight Remilia on Stage 6, and you can only reach Stage 6 if you are playing on Normal or higher. Which means no Easy, EoSD is the only Touhou game I didn't play on Easy first before I got the PC Touhou games.
@BleachBummer My my, you certainly didn't fight all final bosses, did you? IN is the hardest Touhou in the entire series, even Eirin (Not the true final boss) is harder than Yuyuko on Normal or higher.
People may say IN is easier because of the power of bombs and easy deathbombs, but the spellcards are just fucking INSANE.
@akototemp I've played IN, and Kaguya was laughably easy. Eirin was tougher, but not that hard. And I've fought plenty the final bosses from Touhou 2 through 10 (minus Touhou 4) with the only two I haven't beaten being Remilia and Kanako. So I know how difficult the final bosses are, and Eirin and Kaguya aren't that hard in my opinion compared to Yuyuko who shoots like crazy. Eirin spells are complex, but Kaguya is a joke.

@23tlp Just because their is a spell practice doesn't mean the game is hard. Ten Desires has a spell practice and some of the spell, including some of the final boss', are fairly simple to handle. Spell Practice is only there because of the Last Spell, Last Word and Overdrive parts of the games as well as so you can get bonus points. It doesn't mean it is hard.
And yes, I fought Miko in Ten Desires. She is hard, but not as hard as other final bosses like Yuyuko in my opinion.
@BleachBummer Yo,I think there is a spell pratice in touhou 8 beacause the spells are hard and I think there is spell pratice on touhou 13 beacause ZUN said that he wanna make a new start for touhou.And if you try touhou 8 on hard you will see the last word spells in the middle of the game that makes touhou 8 hard too.And kaguya's last words are VERY VERY HARD and eirin just has one last word that is not so hard.
@23tlp Last World and Last Spells aren't required to beat in IN, they are just there for bonus points which is completely optional. The only time a Last Spell is required is in PCB where it can actually kill you.
Plus, you already beat Kaguya so there is really no point in her Last Spells. It's not a game over if they hit you, you've already won and earned the good ending once you beat her. Once again Last Spell only matters with Yuyuko because she can still kill you.
@BleachBummer So what if the Last Words of Kaguya and Eirin don't matter? They are still WAY harder than Yuyuko.
Hard 1cc against Yuyuko, I still had 4/2, but with Kaguya I only had 0/0, and with Eirin 1/0. If you really fought both at the same difficulty you'd know Kaguya/Eirin are way harder.
I'd have to say that Yuyuko, Eirin and Kaguya are all about the same difficulty. However, because their bullet patterns are each unique and require different types of bullet reading skill, people may find differences in difficulty between them.
As for Utsuho, I say she's the easiest because her attack patterns don't require much computation; it's just mostly about blinding sun bullets with big hitboxes.
@KlLLAH573 I'd say Kaguya is way harder based on this:

In none of the vids the players try to get extra graze in any way. And using a bullet counter on-screen, you can see almost all of Kaguya's spellcards have at least double area affected on-screen / speed than Yuyuko's.

@SteelCansFTW What difficulty are you playing on? If Easy, you won't ever reach her. If Normal or harder, just keeping practicing and you will reach her sooner or later. I did, and I still can't beat her yet. But I'm not giving up.
@BleachBummer You can't compare those songs. Septette is an action orihented song, and One-Winged Angel is an ominous orchestra. Both are excellent, but at least for me, that has heard ALL Touhou boss songs, Septette isn't even one of the best.
And please, don't say any boss is "fairly tamed" without playing against them. Remilia may be one of the easiest, but in no way she's easy.
@KlLLAH573 It more of a matter of opinion, like I think Kaguya is the easiest, but that is only because I never reached Utsuho or Byakuren or Yuuka (not counting her boss 5 appearence in Lotus Land Story) or even Miko yet. Once I reach them, my opinion of Kaguya may change, but for now she is the easiest. I can nearly perfect all of her spells before her last spells, just screwed up and had to death bomb the last one...
@KlLLAH573 Touhou is always hard, but for me, EoSD and Remilia are rather easy. I started up EoSD for the first time in about 2 yearsm Hard mode with Reimu, I got to Red Magic or w/e it's called on Hard. Meanwhile I can't even get past Utsuho's Mega Flare, which is on Normal

@BleachBummer Septette for the Dead Princess has much better melodic complexity than One-Winged Angel, presumably to reflect sophistication and class, which seem to be characteristic of Remilia.
Now if you're looking for a song to induce fear and intimidation, One-Winged Angel is far better, with its driving beat and ominous orchestration.

@nothingsjim proof? Has that ever been stated in the game? You could go to the fighting games but that could be to make it possible for Marrisa to fight. Either way, she always flys with her broom (unless you go to the fighting games) and until we see her fly without her broom, we don't know if she can fly without it.
@SKmuffin From Perfect Memento "Don't worry, everyone is able to fly even without wings. " PMiSS also does state that Marisa's broom was originally a normal broom, and further states that rides it because "she believes it's an essential tool for a magician." So, unless Marisa is, somehow, an anomaly in Gensokyo, she can fly just fine without it, and just keeps it for the "witch" look.

@joelcll From what I heard from many, EoSD is the most brutal Touhou game out there, and I can agree. Just don't give up, keep trying, and you'll make it sooner or later. Heck, your better than me right now. I can't make it to Remilia without using more than one continue, and even still I can't beat her.

Btw the best I ever did was to get to Sakuya (as Stage 5 boss) without losing any continues, then I lost a continue against her and then another against Remilia (but that's cause I relaxed after I lost the first continue anyway). I really can't see much of a chance of me beating that in one continue though :(

@wisefelipe Beating Sakuya without continues? That`s awesome! I`ve get to the Stage 4 without using any continues. Then I use my first continue in the mid-boss battle, I think. Second continue is either in the end of Stage 4 boss battle or in the beginning of Stage 5. Third continue goes always at Stage 5 boss battle, if I got that far, but after I first time defeated her, I haven`t lose to her even once, if I remember right. I`ve once fought Remilia, but I used all my bombs on her second attack
I see... well, my suggestion is "don't be afraid of bombing", if there's a spell card you have trouble with, or you think u are gonna die, bomb, it's better to bomb without needing it, then to need it and not bomb, resulting in death instead!
@wisefelipe I have realized that by myself. If I could use every single bombs I just get, it would be about 3 times my lifes bombs, which would be A LOT. When it is hard to dodge, I first try my best and then use bomb. That usually works. Easier attacks are more treacherous. I may just make clumsy mistake and die. That`s more annyoing than dying on hard attack just because I threw the bomb too late. I think I should rather use bombs too often, than trying to save them to the worst attacks.
I don't know, I don't really use bombs too often to be fair, I use my first one in icicle sign against Cirno, which I just can't dodge, no mater what.
I sometimes use one against Meiling too, in that spellcard that's like a rainbow-colored windmill or something. But I can dodge this one.
Then against Patchy and after that I use plenty of them :P
But the problem for me, is that most of the time, I die before I can press the bomb button, I need to improve that.
@wisefelipe Well, for me everything before Stage 4 is basically dodgeable, but of course practically it would be really unlikely, that I could dodge them all. Dying in two first Stage is kinda annyoing, thought. I think I should use bombs on Meiling`s hardests attacks. They`re kinda dodgeable, but rather die without bombs, than dying with even one, no? Then the first death would be on Stage 4 and I got bombs again. Simply, use bombs to save your life in order to beat the game without continues.
True, I think if I could improve my timing in pressing the bomb button when I see I'm going to die, I could beat the game in 1 cc, as I rarely die in stupid spots.
@wisefelipe I played one game using bombs more often than usually. I died only twice because of stupid mistakes (if I remember right) but had then less than 3 bombs. I got to Stage 5 mid-boss which is totally my new record. (When not using continues) But still, there`s quite long way to go, if I want beat the game WITHOUT continues. In EoSD (and probably on the others TP games, too) your skills improve quite fast when you play, don`t ya think? Look at my two first comment for example. :P
True, it's been a while since I last took off some hours to play this, seems like I improve more when I do that. Only some minutes/1 hour doesn't really help much!
It's funny because that's also true in real life. in fact wingspan needs to be almost twice any flying creatures height or else they would have a very hard time flying due to weight issues.
It's probably a 50-50 demographic in gender. But the ZOL makes all the character's females anyway. Sort of like how a lot of games have an all male cast, but in reverse.

Out of the classic three for windows (Embodiment of the Scarlet Devil, Perfect Cherry Blossom, and Imperishable Night) I'd say Yuyuko is harder.

If you're looking for an easy final boss in Touhou, I'd have to say Utsuho. THAT's tame, especially compared with the rest of the game.

@KlLLAH573 It more of a matter of opinion, like I think Kaguya is the easiest, but that is only because I never reached Utsuho or Byakuren or Yuuka (not counting her boss 5 appearence in Lotus Land Story) or even Miko yet. Once I reach them, my opinion of Kaguya may change, but for now she is the easiest. I can nearly perfect all of her spells before her last spells, just screwed up and had to death bomb the last one...

@KlLLAH573 Touhou is always hard, but for me, EoSD and Remilia are rather easy. I started up EoSD for the first time in about 2 yearsm Hard mode with Reimu, I got to Red Magic or w/e it's called on Hard. Meanwhile I can't even get past Utsuho's Mega Flare, which is on Normal
But then again, that is just me :P

@BleachBummer Septette for the Dead Princess has much better melodic complexity than One-Winged Angel, presumably to reflect sophistication and class, which seem to be characteristic of Remilia.
Now if you're looking for a song to induce fear and intimidation, One-Winged Angel is far better, with its driving beat and ominous orchestration.

@nothingsjim proof? Has that ever been stated in the game? You could go to the fighting games but that could be to make it possible for Marrisa to fight. Either way, she always flys with her broom (unless you go to the fighting games) and until we see her fly without her broom, we don't know if she can fly without it.

" PMiSS also does state that Marisa's broom was originally a normal broom, and further states that rides it because "she believes it's an essential tool for a magician." So, unless Marisa is, somehow, an anomaly in Gensokyo, she can fly just fine without it, and just keeps it for the "witch" look.

@joelcll From what I heard from many, EoSD is the most brutal Touhou game out there, and I can agree. Just don't give up, keep trying, and you'll make it sooner or later. Heck, your better than me right now. I can't make it to Remilia without using more than one continue, and even still I can't beat her.

Try to get to Remilia, the fight against her is awesome! I still bomb in every single one of her spellcards! :D
Btw the best I ever did was to get to Sakuya (as Stage 5 boss) without losing any continues, then I lost a continue against her and then another against Remilia (but that's cause I relaxed after I lost the first continue anyway). I really can't see much of a chance of me beating that in one continue though :(

but after stage 3 there are grazing glitches with the curving lazers and aroows and grazing them is dangerous
and there is also a deathbomb glitch where bombing is a second late after you press the bomb button

@wisefelipe Beating Sakuya without continues? That`s awesome! I`ve get to the Stage 4 without using any continues. Then I use my first continue in the mid-boss battle, I think. Second continue is either in the end of Stage 4 boss battle or in the beginning of Stage 5. Third continue goes always at Stage 5 boss battle, if I got that far, but after I first time defeated her, I haven`t lose to her even once, if I remember right. I`ve once fought Remilia, but I used all my bombs on her second attack

I see... well, my suggestion is "don't be afraid of bombing", if there's a spell card you have trouble with, or you think u are gonna die, bomb, it's better to bomb without needing it, then to need it and not bomb, resulting in death instead!

@wisefelipe I have realized that by myself. If I could use every single bombs I just get, it would be about 3 times my lifes bombs, which would be A LOT. When it is hard to dodge, I first try my best and then use bomb. That usually works. Easier attacks are more treacherous. I may just make clumsy mistake and die. That`s more annyoing than dying on hard attack just because I threw the bomb too late. I think I should rather use bombs too often, than trying to save them to the worst attacks.

I don't know, I don't really use bombs too often to be fair, I use my first one in icicle sign against Cirno, which I just can't dodge, no mater what.
I sometimes use one against Meiling too, in that spellcard that's like a rainbow-colored windmill or something. But I can dodge this one.
Then against Patchy and after that I use plenty of them :P
But the problem for me, is that most of the time, I die before I can press the bomb button, I need to improve that.

@wisefelipe Well, for me everything before Stage 4 is basically dodgeable, but of course practically it would be really unlikely, that I could dodge them all. Dying in two first Stage is kinda annyoing, thought. I think I should use bombs on Meiling`s hardests attacks. They`re kinda dodgeable, but rather die without bombs, than dying with even one, no? Then the first death would be on Stage 4 and I got bombs again. Simply, use bombs to save your life in order to beat the game without continues.

@wisefelipe I played one game using bombs more often than usually. I died only twice because of stupid mistakes (if I remember right) but had then less than 3 bombs. I got to Stage 5 mid-boss which is totally my new record. (When not using continues) But still, there`s quite long way to go, if I want beat the game WITHOUT continues. In EoSD (and probably on the others TP games, too) your skills improve quite fast when you play, don`t ya think? Look at my two first comment for example. :P
