This was a great storm! We threw a crazy party at my friends house that Friday - we got smashed and decided to make it an all-night'er. When we finally woke in the morning there was close to 3' of snow, and before noon we had almost 4' of snow.
Thank God my friend had his new Suburban there (lifted with 40's) and we cruised the streets all day getting drunk again! We got stuck a few times, but with lockers and 40's mudders we never stayed stuck very long.
My Dad told me that on this mountain in blount they got about 16 inches and even a tractor couldnt move anywhere but i hope it does it again someday im only 14 so maybe it will happend!
They didn't get near as much as we did here in Western Ga. I put a yard stick in my front yard, and measured 14 inches. We had thunder snow, which was a new one for me being in Ga and rarely having to deal with any snow. Our power was out for 2 days, but luckily we had a wood burning fireplace in the den.
@pris72 All said and done, we hit the 50" - 55" range, all depending what part of South-Central PA you were located. This storm was scary and awesome - all at the same time. We thought it was going to keep snowing for weeks...
Mentone have 26" of snow, think highest in state of Alabama, followed by Valley Head Alabama with 22" of snow.
