    prob. 2. spread it around! the jelly is the best part anyways!

    prob. 3. make up ur own recipe! i was twelve i came up with a very easy and delicious way to make my strudels: microwave 2 strawberry toasterstrudels for 45 seconds, pour on the frosting, SPREAD IT AROUND, and enjoy

    prob. 4. if you don't like the desert varieties, DON'T FUCKING BUY THEM. its soooo godamn simple.

    1: microwave 2 strawberry toaster strudels for 45 seconds

    2: empty 2 frosting packets on one strudel and spread evenly w/ finger

    2.5: (*optional*) put grape or strawberry jam/jelly on the other strudel

    3: put the two strudels together

    4: enjoy (careful: may be hot)

  • i agree with the first reason but there is enough icing to make it look like that in the second reason and the third reason it always 100% comes out warm for me

  • eh..but then i mean people would go to dunkin donuts and buy a donut for breakfast...u cant really tell them not to sell donuts just because they're not good for anyone..not to mention they sell boston creme donut too so..the packet ripping off to the side and the instructions r off and it sounds reasonable

  • i used to always toast mine and then have to microwave it for like 15 seconds or whatever! i thought i was the only one who had cold toaster strudels!! hahaha

  • one thing is FATTEN. It's has greasy like pastry bites from bakery. It taste good but not healthy. I used to eat those way back in the 80's. I tried the strawberry cheesecake inside the filling and also the scramble eggs w/sausage. Those were good but haven't eat them for years.

  • i think ur right but one USE SISSCORS is that so hard another just toast it like a bagel put it on your almost highest toaster setting and lets sit in the toaster for a lil while it cools should be better next time

  • I totally agree! I'm not too sure about more icing though but I could never eat these things for breakfst, they're just too sweet D: me and the hubbs usually eat one of these after dinner cause even the strawberry tastes like it was meant to be a dessert :( shame on you doughman

  • Desserts for breakfast cause a sugar crash early in day, leading to less effectiveness and sleepiness. Doughnut and pastries for breakfast are a dumb idea! Breakfast should always be a balanced meal!

  • 1 & 2 I'm with you 100%! but #3 I really enjoyed them after dinner as our dessert, YUM! but as for it being a breakfast item Why to sugary. I think that they should of changed the box a bit and make it not look the same as the fruit and meal ones.

  • You should have done a 1 word review - UNHEALTHY! Sure, most of us still sneak in that unhealthy snack now and then; nut seriously, people need to see the freezer section in the supermarket for what it really is, it's convenience at a cost. With the exceptions of frozen fruit and veggies, most everything in that section is filled with things that are just plain bad. Sure, we all live busy lives, but come on, I can make a meal from scratch for four in under an hour...AND do the dishes!

  • Needs more icing, and although I cook it in microwave THEN toaster, I think people are smart enough to figure it out. Also, the perforations work fine if you tear it right. You'd have to be pretty dumb to keep pulling if it's tearing into the icing part...

  • I agree but the main reason I don't like Toaster Strudel is the TRANS FAT! I mean, c'mon, it's 2010, there should be a way to make these things without trans fat. If it's because they fry the pastry in bad oil then change the oil. There has to be a way to make these without trans fat and I will not eat another one until they do.

  • I love the cherry ones, but the way they market them as breakfast kind of makes me sick. What person allows their child to eat toaster strudels or pop tarts every day for breakfast? They're pastries and cookies, more or less, not breakfast for every single day. Every time I've had a strudel in my life, it's been a dessert or a treat, never a meal.

    As for the icing pack, I just use scissors. But they definitely should change that.

  • Toaster Strudels are probably too sugary for a kid's breakfast but I enjoy them as a treat. I haven't tried the pie flavors but I would do so taking a clue by the name that they are dessert. I guess Pillsbury could market them as such, but really they're a relatively cheap item that happen to taste good enough. There are so many sugary cereals and other mis-marketed sugar bombs aimed at kids (yo-gos are basically candy) that I feel like toaster strudels are a lesser evil.

  • I completely agree with your icing suggestion. I stopped buying these for that same reason. It really got on my nerves. Too bad b/c I loved the cinnamon Toaster Strudel.

  • I agree with you. The last thing kid's need in the morning is to be amped up on sugar. Pillsbury may market them as a breakfast food, but they're definitely a dessert.

  • I agree! We only (rarely) eat them as dessert in my house, never for breakfast. The same thing happened to me when tearing the icing pack. Nobody needs that frustration in the a.m.

  • I agree that it is too much like a dessert but its not very pleasant sounding when they put eggs and sausages as a filling. At the end these are just a variation of pop tarts but supposedly fancier because of the do it yourself icing and the puff pastry. I prefer pop tarts though because those are just easier to store and eat on the go.

  • amen! they're good but, they'll rot your teeth out. also, I want more filling. I totally agree with your problems with them...
