Best review ever. I especially enjoyed the coughing. Only thing that would have made it better would be for you to be muttering to yourself the whole time ala an ol' timer gold prospector. :)
@rustOfunk LOL I was muttering " Piece of shit tool ", When I returned the tool back to harbor freight the look on the cashiers face was priceless and she was like OMG what is that smell? The smell of china I replied, Everyone who made contact with that tool lost some brain cells that day.
Let me start by saying that the smoke probably did leave you retarded. What the hell kind of "REVIEW" is this supposed to be? First of all, do you know how to speak? Secondly, even my dog knows that when you prevent an electric motor from running, you burn it out. So what was the point of holding the trigger down and continuing to let it burn? Why didn't you "SPEAK" in the video, disassemble the tool and find out "WHY" it wasn't turning? Seems to me you don't know squat about anything.
@wheezer97 Whoa tough guy I wasn't gonna take it apart and get more retarded damn thing was to hot and it smoked for a long time even the cashier wrapped the saw in like 20 bags but it made her retarded too :( Taking it apart voids the warranty you numb nut so the only solution is to take it back get my 90 dollars back. The video isn't a review its more like a destruction type video that damn thing was broken and I finished it off but the real hazard is that it never once set off the breaker.
I have used the double cut saw from harbor freight for a while now. I think you forgot to lube the blades when you were using it. I have not had any issues with it as long as you keep debris from getting loaded up in between the blades. Oh and this is not an industrial use tool it was designed to be a general use tool for the home owner that needed a multi-purpose tool. I mean you would not use a dremel rotary tool to cut 1/2" thick steel plate... right?
@MasterMech77 Oh shit it came with lube sticks ? No wonder it burnt out I was using my dick as the lube stick., Of course I used the lube sticks silly. Check out the harbor freight website and look at the reviews so you can see I am not the only one who had had a problem with the cutter and as for 1/2" plate I just go at it with my snaggletooth no need for a dremel.
@valveman12 hopefully it doesn't, I must of gotten mine from a bad batch or something I had such high hopes for the darn thing it worked good at first then the motor just got real whiny and would heat up a lot .
To Digitalv98 are you saying the dualsaw by omni or the dualsaw by twinstar is the real and better model because they both are being sold as a "dualsaw" name/and I was wondering if you know if the new craftsman double saw is decent or not/i know the blades interchange with the "dualsaw" I also know they make a 6 1/8" model as-well as the 5"/was curious if they are any good???
You have this tagged as dualsaw, but it's not a dualsaw - it's a cheap knock-off. Several companies copied the original dualsaw using inferior parts. As of right now the only place to get the real dualsaw brand is dualsaw.com and Menards stores.
@digitalv98 The " real dual saw" as you claim is the clone of craftsman double blade saw, Real or not all double bladed saws are crappy and over-glorified
@TheToolReview No, the craftsman saw is a private label version based on the first generation (1995 patent). Basically the same as the one you tested. The DUALSAW brand is different internally and addressed the flaws with first generation twin blade saws. Saying "all double bladed saws" are bad is like saying DeWalt and Makita circular saws are bad because a cheap HF saw burned up on you.
@digitalv98 I agree HF burned me up and quite a bit of others but so has all the other tool companies with there twin blade saws if you goggle reviews on the real "dualsaw" you will see more bad reviews then good for the "dualsaw", If you love the tool then that is great I am not going to argue over a "dualsaw" my video is intended to save someone a trip to HF and paying $79.99 for a crappy saw.
With that said though, I do agree that they're over-glorified ... they aren't the "ultimate tool" advertisements make them out to be. They aren't really great on wood, but for stuff you would normally use a grinder for I'll take a dualsaw any day.
Is All of harbor freights stuff shitty like this?

The little demon which we call smoke lives inside the tool keeps the tool working. If we can somehow contain the smoke from escaping...
bravecat100 3 months ago
@bravecat100 maybe an exorcism ? lol
TheToolReview 3 months ago
That's probably the wax sticking the blade. A little more heat on the blade would loosen it up.
