I'm male, and I suffer from anorexia, and when I do eat, I purge, force myself to vomit. In today's age of acceptance, especially one such as Oprah, you'd think she wouldn't make such a comment. Men may hide it more, and may suffer less statistically, but they do still suffer.

I find myself watching this episode over and over again. I have never struggled with weight issues(I have a fast metabolism). But I definitely have self-esteem issues which run parallel with hers even though the context of our lives are so different. The craziest thing is the fact that she and I are one of those people that, when we're insecure about something, instead of bullying others, we beat ourselves up.

i used to be a compulsive eater, now i have barely eaten since november. i ate 2 sandwiches once cause my stomach was hurting really bad, but other than that ive basically survived on milkshakes lol (vegan milkshakes btw, im a vegan)
