I always liked Shotokan. Kyokoshin was never this good...

Man, if only I'd trained in THIS version of Shotokan. (the dojo I went to focused mostly on kata and point/sparring) Reminds me a bit of the club defenses seen in Kajukenbo videos .

Yep, that's true. I still got some good training out of the dojo I went to, at least (Gulf Coast Shotokan Karate was the dojo..in Waveland, MS).

Sensei worked our butts off during class. If you weren't dead by the end of class, you FELT like you were. lmao!
