I'm for medicinal marijuana. It's not something I use, Valium and Valerian root work well for me. But it's easy to grow, and does address anxiety, it's a strong antiemetic, and will increase the appetite which is important to anyone who has chronic pain. The alternative is a cocktail of medication, which can knock you on your arse.
I am neither for nor against. I've formed my own opinion towards Scientology, but that is from my work as a researcher in science and religion itself. In the classification of religion, I feel that Scientology does not meet the criteria to be called a religion.
So why not protest against it? That's not what I do. I am a researcher, nothing more.
However, in my studies I have become aware of your YouTube vlogs and have come to appreciate your tactics for peaceful protest.
I would also like to stress that none of the protesters are protesting against any religious beliefs. If Scientologists wish to believe they contain the spirits of dead aliens, then that is fine.
What we are protesting about is the crimes of the cult. The fair gaming, the imprisonment, the fraud, the corruption, the misery, the brainwashing control they have over their followers.

technically speaking, those scientologists aren't "fair gaming" you, they are however, "PTS handling" you. A much more benign but still immensely intellectually shallow method of Scientology Apologetics which involves bull baiting and other extremely anti-social behavior (hand in face, cold dead staring, laughing mockingly, personal defamation of character, etc.)

In the baiting, yes I agree - they were PTS handling me. But on Wednesday, they did try to fair game me by swamping the online version of my article with many many nasty comments. They knew too much info about me for it to be members of the general public.

No, technically that is still just PTS handling. A matter of getting a large number of people coordinated to spam a bulletin board is text book PTS handling. It's on the borderline using personal information, but if anyone gets under your skin, you have to just take it in stride like any asshole on the street.

All in all, it was an ok article. I was misquoted on a few things, and they missed lots of things out - but the overall message came through.
Re: the comments, I was talking to the guy who runs the newspaper website, and all comments for all articles are offline until further notice. The comments on my article were the last straw (the site has had nasty trolls for a long time) - but they are aware that this trolling was almost definitely Scientology.

Sukmibigwon, in the US the protest is also against their favored tax status as a religion. Also, don't forget Co$ appeals to people who are "seeking" something. Then in auditing they reveal personal embarassing facts, which are kept on file. The files are used later to suppress dissenters and troublemakers, even after they leave the "church". Think people should know this BEFORE they join?

I'm for medicinal marijuana. It's not something I use, Valium and Valerian root work well for me. But it's easy to grow, and does address anxiety, it's a strong antiemetic, and will increase the appetite which is important to anyone who has chronic pain. The alternative is a cocktail of medication, which can knock you on your arse.

I am neither for nor against. I've formed my own opinion towards Scientology, but that is from my work as a researcher in science and religion itself. In the classification of religion, I feel that Scientology does not meet the criteria to be called a religion.
So why not protest against it? That's not what I do. I am a researcher, nothing more.
However, in my studies I have become aware of your YouTube vlogs and have come to appreciate your tactics for peaceful protest.

I would also like to stress that none of the protesters are protesting against any religious beliefs. If Scientologists wish to believe they contain the spirits of dead aliens, then that is fine.
What we are protesting about is the crimes of the cult. The fair gaming, the imprisonment, the fraud, the corruption, the misery, the brainwashing control they have over their followers.
Scientology has helped many people, but it has hurt far more than it has ever helped.
