  • they say that even today thae camps are still smell for burn flesh...is this true?

  • ohmygod. this always gets to me...

  • It's a nice arrangement for so few instruments

    :D

  • creepy scene!

  • Yes Creepy. It reminds me of the sinking of the Titanic. Playing Strauss to cheer everyone up even though the end is very nigh.

  • The jews are going to enter in the gas chamber???

  • Yep, think so. =[

  • looks like they are walking into Hades!

  • Pretty disturbing scene.

  • Indeed! Two days ago i visited the Buchenwald concentration camp memorial. The visitors could watch a documentary, in which a survivor tells about such a scene happened in real. The only difference was that it was a brass band instead of a string orchestra. Everything else should have been the same or even worse...

  • Really? I would like to visit a conentration camp, but it must be really disturbing :( Thanks for posting this scene, this movie is a good reminder of the horrible things that happened.

  • the auschwitz womens orchestra was scheduled to be shot the day they were liberated which was pretty lucky! thanks for the vid

  • @AbiH31 Disturbing because it doesn't make any fucking sense.

  • One of the most haunting scenes in a very haunting movie. Well done.

  • what is that music in the movie?

  • You already asked about that 9 months ago. Look at the older posts.

  • thank you very much about your respons!

  • Can you post the ending?

  • I could, but I wouldn`t. Sorry, i hope you understand why.

  • Yes, I suppose I do.

  • possibly to ease the peoples stress and fear of what was going on..

  • Why are they perfoming music??? did that happen in real?

  • Yes, it happened in real! "Why?" May be, because they were allowed to do that. And "why they were allowed to do that?" is an interesting question, which answer needs a seroius thinking. But it's a fact that a lot of jewish people have survived the holocaust thanks to their music playing abbilities. I'm not an expert, but this is what i know.

    Regards,

    Plamen

  • Okey, thank you for the info :)

maybe they played the music for the new internees to make them believe that the camp isn't a bad place?? but what do I know :D

  • Yes, exactly. The gas chambers were disguised as showers.

  • hey were ordered to. Google for Auschwitz Orchestra.

  • I was in this scene. It was filmed in Bulgaria by US crew but the end result wasn't very good.

  • I agree. The movie itself is far from the quality of "Schindler`s List", but the scene with the orchestra is pretty well done.

  • what is this music?

  • "Roses from the South" by J. Strauss.

  • Not exactly "internees", this is the gas chamber below.

  • I forgot the name of the movie. But I remember that the movie was veeeery good one.

  • What is this movie?

  • The Grey Zone

  • Thanks!
