  • these look so neat! Im gonna have to make some. I have a bunch of beads up for grabs on my channel, check it out. I love the fact you guys made the beads smaller, they look way better than the large ones

  • I'm gonna see if I can use this same technique to make beads for my dreads. :) Great tutorial.

  • Glue sticks will not last as long. It you want "forever"... Try weldbond or a resin glue.. and the glue show be all the way through. Some beads made in the Depression still exist today!

  • me too going to try it

  • nice

  • whoa! the girl has a such 90's look! awesome!

  • you can use a toothpick to keep them even, wrap the fat end in the stick first and then wrap tightly around the tooth pick

  • aha so cool

  • Comment removed

  • just a word of advice: put a toothpick at the end of the paper before you start rolling, so you know the hole will be big enough

(thats what she said) ahhaha immature, i am

  • where would you purchase paper glaze and is there another name for it, it appears you have more of a selection in supplies in than we do here in Canada. Thank you ever so much my grandshildren will love making these

  • @MsShawnq They carry Aleen's paper glaze at Hobby Lobby and also at Michael's Arts and Crafts. But any crafts store would probably carry something similar. Also, some people use ModgePodge, which can add a nice sheen. Modge Podge won't be quite as durable though. :)

  • i used my homework...

  • going to try it

  • awesome!! espesially since i work at a paper route!

  • HEEEEEDIOUS music!

  • @TheSilveryD0e D:> poor sheet music....

  • time to make some money hahaha (DEEO VOICE)

  • I did this twenty years ago in girl scouts! thanks for the memories (:

  • GORGEOUS!

  • @TheSilveryD0e that sounds awesome!

  • i misssed you guys!

  • Instead of string, you can use pieces of plastic bags for MORE up-cycling!

  • I am so doing this its the best idea ever!!!!! :)

  • ville valo's face looks awesome around my wrist :D <3 thanks threadbanger! xxxxxxxxx

  • Short, Sweet, and RIght to the point!!!~Thank You!!!

  • i like the show so much keep it up guys...

  • I made a buch of these! They were so easy, and I can't wait to make them into cute accessories!

  • You would like to meet Asian bride *lushfmlk.info*

  • I learned this from my art teacher. You can make the beads much nicer. Experiment with the size of the triangle. You should also use a toothpick so that the hole of the bead will always be the same size. Ive seen some beads made from wrapping paper. You should really try it out! :D

  • Why do people write in spanish. Its so stupid.

  • @rubyninja100 Because they don't speak English...

  • @rubyninja100 really? you want to ask this question? think about it, ppl watch yt from around the world, some of those plcs english isn't their first language.

  • mi scappa la merda

  • Instead of cutting triangles you can experiment with other shapes too, it will give you a different shape of bead.

  • If you miss the old threadbanger come see us other little diy enterprises :) You'll maybe like and subscribe :D

  • I just tried it :-) It looks awesome!

  • so much fun! what better way to recycle! for more hippie crafts, check out my channel !

  • does clear nail polish make it durable..? >_>

  • @yehjeaner Yes it does

  • @NeccoWecco but i tried it.. and the paper turned soggy

  • @yehjeaner Did it dry hard? You could do a coating of white elmer's glue first, then when that's dry put the nailpolish over it

  • @yehjeaner When you roll them use elmer's or any white glue and a trick I use is a styrofoam flat square or circle stick the beads on toothpicks into the styrofoam and let dry completely and than glaze with clear coat nail polish or also if wanting to jazz it up use glitter or any cool color nail polish.

  • Great quick and easy tutorial on making paper beads. I would recommend people to try making them. They are so fun and and once you learn how there are all sorts of varieties you can make!.

  • this is soooo cool! I'm gonna do this right now!!! *looks around* oh geez.... this is just the perfect time to run out of glue!!!!

  • omg...Ive done this technique like some years ago...we learnd it on my art class... hahaha but i like the newspaper oneees :D

  • The newspaper beads looked very great. I have some old books that will not sell back to HPB - I bet it will work just as well.

  • Colorful magazine pages...hmmm...HUGH HEFFNER and his PLAYBOY Centerfold Gorgeous Models are going to hate me for EVEN THINKING about what I'm thinking. :-)

  • that was cool my daughter loves to make things with me so now him n i can try this thanks for sharing

  • Corinne I used to make these about 8 yrs ago!! I have a little kit for it with a big spinner thing and all.. I love your newspaper necklace!! Looked great!

  • lol I make beads out of rocks.

  • I always use a thin wooden kabob stick so as to make each one uniform in thickness & length, then paint them, but I do not make beads out of them, lol

  • When I used newspaper, sometimes I turned out blackish.

  • ajajaja pendejos!

  • i used orange financial times and white newpaper. I also used crosswords/sudoku, i liked numbers in the design. I also used a cotton bud as the plastic was smooth and I cut the last bud off.

  • This is so much straight forward and easier than the previous tutorials. I like both tuts, going to teach my nieces how to make necklaces, they will so love me, LOL.

  • I experimented with hair spray to set them because my bracelet got torn when I used it without setting it. I hope it works, becuase I don't kow where to find paperl glaze here in mexico XD

  • @akissy Hi, just read your comment mate, i thought the same and them PVA glue popped in my head. if you dont know of it by this name it is the glue most school children use in schools or PVA carpenters glue is sim but stronger, the glue is white but it dries clear and is water proof to. hope that helped mate.

    PVA stands for Polyvinyl acetate.

    stay safe pip

  • @PiPphiltitley Oh! o.o Carpenter's glue, I had never thought of that, mostly becuase my dad's glue dries a pretty but not desirable creamy shade. but I'll look for the one that dries clear, thanks so much for the tip! ^^

  • @akissy all good mate glad you like the help!

i would go for the kids PVA if you can as this is guaranteed to dry clear,(u.k) if you have to get PVA wood glue dont for for the strong/ extra strength stuff this will dry yellowish

    stay safe pip

  • @mishmashpie did you use paper glaze?

  • @tilena211 you mean like varnish? I used clear nail polish.

  • mi piace. e noi italiani abbiamo pure la gazzetta x farlo.

i like it.We Italians could even make pink bears with the "Gazetta" newspaper.

  • you could use left over or used christmas wrapping paper and make the beads bigger and then make really long strands to use as garland on your christmas tree!
