  • how can i get the game rings

  • hey my thing wont save int o a libarary on the append

  • I didn't know that >_>; I better step my game up with my Blender videos so I don't get these types of comments lol.

  • seems like only noobs make tutorialss :/

  • There are less Blender related tutorials for the things people are interested in than the other 3D applications (which don't have game engines).

So not only is he doing a bit of a service for people interested in doing this, but he's trying to get a check from youtu--osnap...!

Not only are you right... I think i'll do the SAME thing but with Blender + Torque O_O I still rate his stuff 5 stars.

  • nice tut thx 4 making it

plz make an other one soon!

    as in next week

  • do u know how to make a pure 2d game in blender. Or maybe limit the physics to not work in a 3rd deminsoin.

  • if you want to make a 2d game im going to be doing advanced game maker tutorials that will make a game like i wanna be the guy

  • maybe you can set the camera at an angle to make it appear 2d but im not sure if you can reallly make it 2d

  • make a game w/ thin objects and look at them from a side view w/ mroe limited controls. have the camera parented to the person so it movers w/ them brut from the side, then it looks 2d(also have it in orthagraphic view*press5 unil it looks flat*)

  • but if i have a 2d circle on a 2d hill, blender's 3d physics will make it fall off the back instead of rolling

  • make it 3d and thin so it doesn't fall. even if it isn't thin as long as ur camera is following from the side and in Orthographic mode, it'll look 2d, and just give forward/backward and maybe up/down, controls, just nothing tht makes it move along the axis your camera is facing(closer/farther from teh camera).

So, in all you can make it w/ normal objects if you want, just have the camera in orthographic

  • You can use Optical Occlusion to deal with distancing or a good light and make your 2d game from the TOP to BOTTOM view to make 2d games in blender.

The rest is up to animation, texturing, and GE config. It's really easy to do once you learn how to use Blender.

  • off brand?

  • they're sweet, saw them a few days ago
