Howard Jones - ty for making my life all the better for listening to your music. a person with a conscience and a great musician. i never get sick of hearing.
@noelreverberation bene! mi fa veramente molto piacere che ci siano persone cosi giovani che vanno alla ricerca di cose cosi belle del passato.....ma qual'era il lato b? io ho il 33 giri.....
The rough pixelation is absolutely intentional. Definately tweaking with it as an art form. With the limited digital technology of the time (in it's infancy), this stuff is amazing. Too bad early MTV didn't give this obscure video more airplay. Great stuff these lost gems. Howard Jones stuff still stands as some of the great classic tech-pop of the 80s. Dig up more if you got it!
Mabey there's a possibility of a another era nuwave in the near future. Mabey the british can bring back good music. It obvious all american artist are into conformity. Hint: Audiotune
I suddenly realize I've been in love with Howard Jones' music for years! I just didn't put all the songs I adore to his name. Like, "No One Is to Blame," "What is Love," "Things Can Only Get Better," "Like to Get to Know You Well"... Holy cow, he's amazing!! A real example of 80s awesomeness, indeed.
Very weird video. Howard shouldnt have agreed to this video. But what about the song !!! WOW amazing, probably his best. The kind that is a CLASSIC. Alas the radio stations didnt pick it up ! To quote the Smiths: 'hang the DJ'
@2nstra Wow.. at least the US single got a decent video (and good airplay). I remember one day coming home from school as a young'un...got a postcard in the mail announcing the release of "All I Want" in the UK and "You Know I Love You" in the US..went upstairs to my room, turned on the radio, and heard a song which I soon realized was All I want (12" version). They played it endlessly and it soon became my favourite song..regardless of the US single choice. :)
He'd kinda slipped off the radar as far as chart success goes when this came out - but for me it's my favourite song of his by a long way. Got it on 7 and 12" vinyl still. Unfortunately good, meaningful pop was being replaced with crass, commercial shit at this point.
oh my god, for some reason i love that he uses the line "Juliet and Romeo" instead of the other way around, like it always is. i am just cheesing out over Howard Jones today...
This comment almost killed me, seriously. I was eating some steak and I busted out laughing. A piece of the steak got lodged in my throat and I started choking.
There was no one around so I tried in vain to stop myself.
Fortunately I was able to reach the phone and pick up the reciever before passing out, hitting my head and going into a seizure.
When I came to I was in a hospital bed and the doctors told me everything was going to be ok thankfully.
Do you know what video this is in? Cause in the Hide and Seek music video along with this one it had the same beginning pic for the title of the song. Thanks!
this is my favorite HJ single and it is frequently not included on most greatest hit compilations. although i have to ask: is this video meant to be so pixelated? i know it was the 80's but it seems overdone...
I actually heard the Peaceful Tour version of this song before I heard this version. It is my favorite song on the Peaceful Tour album, though it sounds more techno. But I like this version as well.
seen him live last year...legend

Sadly his last hit in the UK - he never really did much to the charts after this (I still think he's brilliant though)

yeah, this video is overly pixelated, and if you listen to the music the song is pretty sensual.

Really great son! Not on my greatest hits tape. Surprizing as it was his last UK top 40 hot.

I agree with you, this video is overly pixilated.
This is one of my fav. Howard Jones songs, I haven't heard it for a long time, it was nice to hear it again.
Jessiquita2000 4 years ago 6
I wondered about the pixilation myself. I'll check into this and perhaps upload a better version. Thanks for noting this.
utahwrx 3 years ago
the vid is supposed to pixilated it was the effect at the time lol
wwwqqss1 3 years ago
I think it's part Youtube (I've noticed this on other videos as well) and the video itself. Nothing to fix, thanks again for posting this.
Jessiquita2000 3 years ago 3
I will check into the pixelation and possibly upload a replacement video. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.
