That's it? I'm playing on survivalist right now and it's really not that hard. I thought they meant it was impossibly tough. If that's the only problem, I think I'll be just fine. Thanks for the advice. By the way, how many credits are in that node room?
@jackslater230011 Hardcore IS Survivalist, but you can only save three times, and there's no checkpoints. That's the only difference. Same enemies, same amount of ammo etc. If I can make a suggestion, save before the parts where you can die because of LUCK, not skill. Like the zero-gravity room with the spinning blades.. It's really easy to accidentally mess up there and get killed, whereas bosses are just a matter of skill. Bosses are easy once you learn how to beat them.

It's so hard because you can only save three times and there are NO CHECKPOINTS. So if your last save was five hours ago, and you die, you go back to your last save. Save before what you think are the three most difficult parts in the game, and don't give up.

hey I remember doing this glitch in the beginning of the game and it worked but later on when I got to the part were you move thru the sprawl apartments an had to put out that huge fire with the power cell i couldn't go any further because the power cell was never where it was supposed to be. so i was wondering if this has happened to anyone else besides me on the ps3

Not even necessary to grab credits after glitch is activated. You can just stand at the save point and just save and restart as many times as you want. Credits will dupe. Save time get more faster
@Felaide you can go on and on with it till it maxes out the credits for the game.. the credits for each Dead Space game maxes at about 999,999 i wish the creds stopped at 1,000,000 im OCD so it kinda pisses me off..

I did this and it worked! Thing is, all of a sudden the room filled up with a whole bunch of boxes, and I mean it FILLED up, and they contained a lot of medpacks and ammo but there's no space to carry them. Even the conductors, there were like 6!
ok i went and tested it out to save like an extra like 4 seconds, do what he says, then when u go to open the door dont pick up the money, just open the door and look at it then go back to the save point, save, restart checkpoint, go open door then there will be two money pickups, so skip pikcing them up first do the saves and get them all at once when ur done =) thumbs up for meeee
@tbear116 I actually think that sounds like a better method. Saves the time of picking up all up one at a time. Just open the door, save, reload, open the door, save reload.. Do that like 15 times then pick up all 15 stacks of credits at once. Good observation.
what happend if u dont pick up the money and then save would it just do the same thing as the gold conductors and just keep building up till ur ready to get em?

But you know what might work is the grenade infinte money glicth where you you have the free grenade launcher from the packs and can keep selling them after wasting the grenades
I did this for so long and got around 400,000 credits. But when i tried to hack the terminal to move, it wont let me remove the face plate! I'm going crazy trying to figure it out but i think i might have to start over. all that work for nothing :(
You get a red rube simconductor with two power node for every three or four saves on the last save on Chapter fourteen or a 3000 credit card...
I should know, because I spent three hours collecting money and power nodes. It's get's boring after a while and I had to take 15 minute smoke breaks and beer breaks within those three hours.
I did this glitch twice today , it worked Great, until I tried to hack the solar array door. The game would not let me remove the front panel, so I get stuck..
The best thing to do is at the beginning of every chapter, save in a different slot so if you need to go back and do something then you can just load the right chapter you need.
Alright folks...before you follow this doyouwantaspoon's advice about doing the exploit. HACK OPEN the door before the save station. If you start the exploit before the opening the door...you cannot continue forward with the game. It will glitch out and not allow you to open the panel to hack the door. You were warned!....save multiple times.

The best thing to do is at the beginning of every chapter, save in a different slot so if you need to go back and do something then you can just load the right chapter you need.

@Irion Same slot over and over. I just kept a backup from before I unlocked the door in File 1, then overwrote File 2 with my loot over and over.
