I think it's great that so many people are starting to realize what's going on! keep buying, saving and hoarding, set your initial goal at 1000 oz of silver. They may laugh now, but you will laugh last.
be encouraged my friend, most people are clueless to the potential that silver someday will realize it's true value. meanwhile, keep collecting, it sounds like you not only realize it's value, but also appreciate the incredible beauty of silver coins.
ps i too have found incredible deals. Just a couple days ago i bought a 2006 canadian 1/2 oz $1 wolf coin for 30 bucks at a coin shop, going for $65 on ebay
yeah I have to say any silver sold 8 and 10 dollars under spot is fake. Maples ALWAYS go about $3 over spot at these prices. Silver is not like a car that can go on sale for less then its worth (spot price) Silver is a commodity, are you buying gas for your car at $1.50? think about it.
@blackstallion10000 people that deal mostly in numismatics can give you a good deal because of the margins the make, don't worry i had the coin checked out and the dealer i was going to was more than happy to buy it. It also came in the mint packaging and when i removed the tarnish with the hot water baking soda and salt it worked so i know it is real. Thanks for the opinion!
@blackstallion10000 All you noobs who entered the silver market at the top, silver CAN sell under spot. In the 1990s you could buy eagles, maples and morgans for under spot.
@bookreadinchica i own a scale and have weighed everything i own, i dont know what this comment is refering to but nowadays counterfits do weigh close to real weight on some fakes are extremely acurate in size and weight
@SilverPott Probably becuase There FAKE silver coins...Hence there Polish Dealer. No dealer in there right mind would sell a silver maple at $8 under melt...did he also gave you and extra $20 when you got change..sry pal its a fake maple.
@changsshortys dont come up on my videoand say negative things when you dont know the circumstances
#1 he is a well respected dealer
#2 they were in a coin album and in the middle were people probably havent looked in 2 months
#3 the silver maple was in its original packaging and i took it out because there as a very small whole which allowed for the silver to tarnish, it also had milk spots just for your info and even though i hate spots its just another sign of an authentic maple!!
@baseball90995 uhhh hello..Im not saying negative things. I was saying that No one in there right mind would sell a silver maple for $8 under spot. unless it was fake. Would you sell a $50 Bill for $42???
@changsshortys wel uhhhh hello to you i just told you the silver maple came in the original mint packaging and im wondering if you have ever been to a coin show because you can find excellent deals at the, i strongly encourage you to go if you have one around you because the dealers have coin books and bins with prices from the last coin show and sometimes they do make deals with you!
@changsshortys um if you have ever been to a coin show then you will know they have deals to be found some coin flips and coin book are underpriced because they dont change the price due to every single move of the markets. Also when i see the comments you post on other videos then i know that your one of the negatives youtubers so screeeeeeeeewwwwwww ooooooooooofffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff and find another hobby pal !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Your going to love those Olympic Coins mate!!! How in the heck did you get Maples and a Phili for $32 WTF? I dont understand how someone would sell it that cheap unless there crazy or they knew in less then a month Silver will drop to below $30 LOL!!! It just doesnt make sense but WHO CARES!!! You did Awesome and you have got some very nice coins. Sterling Silver Coins like those Olympic coins have a buy price at apmex for close to spot There Sold out right now and the buy price is $40.95 usd
@baseball90995 No prob mate!!! and just to Clarify The Buy Price at $40.95 isnt what there price to sell for is,its the actual apmex price they will buy it from you at $40.95. They sell those Coins for well over $5 over spot LOL!!! So that shows you how much demand there is for such a coin with a nice $20 face value "hedge" built into the coin. I got the Set of 10 for $300 less then a month ago and I love just taking them out to look at. I like the Hockey and the Bobsled coin alot there all nice
@MrPointspread i know i just checked it out on apmex thats quite a premium, the actually buy the coins over the bid spot value, i love em i need to put a set together, i really want the biathlon one next!
@baseball90995 Insane isnt it LOL!!! I think a big reason for the high prem's is because of the "Face Value" of $20 to hedge the downside it would protect if say Silver fell below $20. Ebay usually has the set of 10 on there going for an avg of $430-$460 last time I checked. I seen some auctions were there selling the 2 coin set that you have for just over $75 so that might be a good way to start unless you find the set of 10 for a killer deal somewhere.
Nice stuff man! Can't wait for my B-day in a week or so. plus, I already got new stuff. But my camera broke:( So my new one is on the way. I wish i could find a hologram maple set for less than $100. A coin show is coming up in my area so i'm saving some moolah. Maybe i'll get lucky:)
Wow you got some silver for $10 under spot, sweet deal
