I liked the 3 videos(or four);am studying wing chun and other arts to propel my boxing to higher achievements.Thank you for so plainly explaining..God bless.
Very good explination. to be such a young man, you have extrodinary understanding, your shifu should be proud. Who is your shifu and what linage, this looks very good, and I belive that this is the traditional art // Shifu M.
Just throwing out an opinion. A lot of people think Chi sau (for ppl not aware of the word, its basically these drills you see, training sensitivity and proper auto-reactions) is fighting. Even Wing Chun people think that the whole martial art of Wing Chun is chi sau. In my opinion it is a tool to achieve something, not everything, but something to make your Wing Chun better. Like jumping rope is for a boxer. Good videos, I'd like to see more than just Chi Sau drills if possible. Keep it up!
Do you think, the opponent will stand there and wait for your techniques? A fighter is not a dummy, and he is not your assistent. He will move and he wants to hurt you.
@MegaSmud Again you mis understand the reason for training these types of drills. Your understanding is obviously limited by your own personal knowledge. Nobody said this was "fighting"
The point really is contact reflexes. Muscle memory. Any any kind of fight. You do what you practice. A month ago a drunk idiot approached me in a aggressive manner and I hit him with a bong sau elbow at close range without thought. It happen so fast that he though I punched him. And credit that for contact reflex drills just like this. Great job, great explanation. keep up the good work.
NICE!!!! Just got off of the phone with one of you students (Tod) and he directed me towards your video. I plan on visiting you school in the next coming weeks, but I have to say that this is good. I espicallly like the last part with huen sao, around the extended arm, right after the mid section hit to set up for the eye scrap. Great job.
I love that sticky hand drill. Its my favorite. My dad and I would do that at full speed with our eyes closed and we tryed to counter each other. Great video!
Another great explanation ! Many people don`t understand how well Good Wing Chun counters Grabbing attempts . And most people don`t know that even into the late `90`s , it was illegal to teach Wing Chun in it`s HeartLand , because the local police found that their standard , mandatory " Chinna " could not "Arrest " a Wing Chun practitioner .Thank you for sharing .
