  • Rejoice in the Lord Sung during Coventry Peace Festival 12/11/2011 by Zimbabwe Singers in Songs of the Nations - Music Unites us

  • I find this piece so inspiring and calming. It is performed perfectly by Chanticleer! Thank you! This absolutely soothes my weary soul.

  • An early edition of an encyclopedia of music, possibly Chambers or Pears - I forget but no matter - in its article on Purcell, concluded with a statement that became burned on my mind ... and so died the great Purcell, buried with honour in Westminster Abbey. His early death must be regarded as a national calamity.

    Amen.

  • 'And the peace of God which passeth all understanding.....', well, Purcell, despite Civil war, plague, fire, seems to comprehend it...sublime..a glimpse of an England that might have been..

  • Soothing, Calming, Relaxing and most of all......WELL DONE by Chanticleer....Bravo

  • Lovely!

  • LOVE THIS! Thank you so much for sharing

  • My Desert Island choice of music

  • Very nice! I performed this piece last summer at the Lamèque International Baroque Music Festival (Canada).

  • Refreshing!

  • There is, I think, something so very refreshing about Baroque music, like taking a breath of fresh air. It encompassed the Age of Reason & the Enlightenment & revolution was in the air.

  • Beautiful, thank you.
