I have 4 phone wall jacks in my home. Could you please tell me if I buy this what do I have to do so all my phone jack in the house will be live for phone hook up? Do I have to buy 4 of these or just one will be enough for all 4 jacks?
Currently I have Time Warner digitel phone in my home.
Magic jack plus. Screw everyone saying this is better than Magic Jack, I'v been a magic jack user for over 2 years and not 1 problem, got it on my ipod so when im out i still get my phone calls. ANY questions you can go on their website and you get INSTANT help. NetTalk is just a Magic Jack rip off, I pay 20$ a year with Magic Jack and NEVER had a problem.
So, I was planning to buy MagicJack then I just found out this nettalk when I was watching some videos. Please help me. So u said it is better? in what way? like better sound quality? You're paying 29 a year, is that already with tax?
I live Canada, can I have unlimited international call for FREE? Is it FREE ONLY when I call within Canada and US? Or is there additional charge for the yearly plan, when I call outside US and Canada?
Hello. Congratulation for the nice video... Question: I live in Brazil, do you think tha it will work here? I have a 2 mega internet and a decent router. Do you mind if I ask you to call me to see if ts sounds clear please?
@alexjonesviewer Yes, Its still working like brand New, I havent had any problems at all, its been over a year now, and I'm still impressed, I guarantee you will be happy with this system. I've been saving alot of money, lol
Nice review. But, FYI, the "dial tone" is actually generated in the phone itself. All you have to do is supply voltage to your phone, and you'll get a dial tone. So, its not a test of the quality of the line.
Thanks for the review. I have a Magic Jack, and am thinking about getting a NetTalk Duo.
That's Not True. If you hook up a phone to a regular Magicjack (Not Plus) without installing the software or you plug it into a Linux Computer you don't get a dial tone plus if you plug a phone into your home phone jack but don't have an active account with the phone company you will not get a dial tone even though there is still power coming to the jack, you will hear the touch tones if you mash the buttons on the phone but no call will go through.
Hey I travel constantly to South America does this work anywhere as long as is plug to a router and the internet? I stay in hotels that allow connection do you think this will work if I subcribe the number in the US and take with me all over? thank you
Do they charge any taxes per month for the DUO like ooma does? If DUO/nettalk does, ooma is cheaper long-term. Unlike the nettalk website reports, there is an option for no monthly fee with OOMA (tax only payment per month).
These are available at walmart now.I want to do away with my phone company.I pay $59 a month just to keep a phone in the home. Iwas wondering can I accept collect calls with this? I have a son who calls me collect and a nephew who calls me from jail. This would save me a lot of money a year. But still I want to be able to accept collect calls.TY for showing this video.
how is the quaility of the phone call? Do you experience call dropping. I'm almost sold on it. I just want to know the quality of a phone call. I'm assuming I can make use of the computer and send and receive phone call with out any problems.?
Nettalk has the best deal in the world of VOIP today. I found it by accident during the last few months of 2010, when I was researching products like MagicJack and Ooma. Its a lot less expensive to buy than Ooma, but does everything Ooma does. You can still use it like MagicJack, which I rarely do.

@Oscarlc85 I read somewhere that international buyers had problems renewing their service after the first year. Seems it would not accept international payments. Maybe they have it where you can now. Research
I agree with most things you said ..I have been using Vonage now for a few years. It's pretty good as long as I had enough bandwith...,not when I had 3 or 4 pcs using my network at the same time. Magic Jack is just crap, thank god they gave me a refund tho. I've never used this but I'd like to try. Does NetTalk allow you to keep your old number like Vonage does??
i read about this device in december's PC WORLD. i'm paying about 30 bucks a month for charter phone service. do you guys continue to recommend this service? any problems you guys have encountered? thanks.
Just make sure when you get the device you call to activate as it isn't ready to use out of the box. Second for NetTalk or any other VoIP device to work well you need at least 1 full Mbps UPSTREAM, NOT DOWNSTREAM. Just because you have 50mbps down that doesn't mean anything the UPSTREAM is what is important for it to work well. I know it claims 128kbps but a lot of room has to be left for hiccups in the internet and lag times between the server and the device and room to still internet surf.

@wantinguforfun I'm guessing it should wotk really good with clear especially being that, they are on a 4g network. Also being that the Clear modem has a Built in router, you would just plug the ethernet cord from the Nettalk Duo, directly to the Clear Modem.
@rorolfito89 Once you start the setup through there website, you'll get to a stage where it will ask you for your local area code, and there you will be able to select a local number, It will only show one local number at a time, but theres an option where you can change that number at anytime, without any delay, if you dont like it.

I have a quick question, if someone calls your phone number do they have to dial 11 digit number i.e 1-(XXX)-XXX-XXXX Thanks
GuEnavEre408 6 months ago
@GuEnavEre408 No, just a 10 digit number, plus you can send it anywhere around the world and call just like if it was a local number.

why are you paying Comcast for your router? Comcast now charges $7/mo. Buy your own router it will pay for itself within a year.
