I think it would be fun to see how good I could get the swr's on a coat hanger. I did want to cool a PCCillin tube with salt water and tune it by capacitence.

Hey man Google Salt Water Dummy Load. It is an easy project for a beginner. Also if you continue running the resisters like that they WILL burn up. You need to keep them cool. Other than that welcome to the fine and fun world of CB! 73's
I recently got into cb radios my dad and his buddies were hardcore into them when i was like 5 and my buddies and i r gettin into em now. i recently found my dads radios and would like to mod a couple. how hard is it to get the roger beep and the lights?
The disco light is easy. Roger beep also easy. As long as u are familiar with soldering. Roger beep kits come with instructions. As long as u follow them, it will work fine. Here's how 2 do the disco meter. Get a disco LED. ground the neg on a tune can. then solder the pos leg of the LED 2 the side of the switch 4 the dim that is not used on the side that is closed when its on dim. Then jump the center tabs together. Then just put the LED under the meter & zip tie the wire & LED in place.
