It is, I actually did learn this, and it's extremely tiring, it's good practice at keeping the wrists relaxed.

The lightness, clarity and wide range of dynamics makes this playing special.
I'm grateful he didn't try to out-Horowitz Horowitz, and came up with fine interpretation of his own.

Liszt was German. He never even learned Hungarian.

you are wrong. Lizst was Hungary, your´s fhater was Gerrman but he learned and play and composed music in Budapest.
Liszt was never German lol! There was no country called Germany at that time. Liszt was born in the western part of The Austro-Hungarian Empire. He moved to Weimar where he started to speak German. He always prefered speaking French.
