@CrystleHeart01 The first series got tired of waiting for the manga to get it's fat ass moving, so they wrote their own scripts.

After the manga finally got it's ass moving it wanted animated to they rushed the first 20 episodes to reach the point where the anime originally flipped em the bird and drove off with the car. Which is why the first 20 or so episodes sound half hearted even from vic and leave a first timer having no idea wtf is going on.
