actually no. Physically, players today are a lot bigger and stronger. And the most important different is that zone defense was not allow back then, meaning that you can play one on one all day long and not to worry about ppl crowded the lane, which makes scoring easier.
Kobe doesnt need to learn the art of passing, coz he could be a good passer if only he wants to, only he doesnt trust his teammates that much and in the process they couldnt deliver or will only give the ball back to him...

As a Chicagoan growing up, watching MJ my whole youth win 6 titles and 6 MVP Finals was truly a feat that I dont think anyone else will come close to, HOWEVER when it comes to SHOOTING, what Kobe does against todays competition is absolutely astonishing :)I would personally say, he's a better SHOOTER than MJ.
