  • This music has strong physical influence.. lovely and this one reminds me those dark ages..

  • :50 ...this is what will play when I take over the world lolXD

  • I hope the next total war will be a total war that start at rome (-50bc) and finish in the medieval time 1500 +/- that would be THE best game of the world.

  • @CptFoupoudav with a very detailed worldmap, with many starting periods, many factions according to the current periods, historical accuarly. that would be the best historical game ever made.

  • @TzeentchChaos Yeah exactly what i've wanted to say but my English is not good enough to detail as well as you did

  • 10 Infidels disliked this.

  • ja mein kaiser

  • it has some greek words in it like amen(αμήν) and kirie eleison( κύριε ελέησον)

  • @alexthehistorian Technically, Amen is Hebrew. :)

  • Im playing with denmark, i destroyed england, scotland and i will destroy poland and france after i create the hugest army in the world

  • @jhonhubb until the fucking timidums or however you spell that come and wipe your whole empire

  • @Ahofer556 Timurids. I HATE THEM. 6 full armys of level 10 generals with lots of elefant units, one of wich can break your entire army, chargin towards jerusalem, and to all the egiptian territories you conquered.... DAMMIT!

  • Thank you for the lyrics...

  • Nice Video

  • I'm playing now with the HRE. And already wiped out Milan, Venice, Papal-States. Now i'm fighting against Poland and Danemark, have already some cities in hands. So this game is really the best! :p

  • this really gives me chills when I'm starting the game

  • Not the same without the lightning in the background XD

  • Awesome

  • so many memories of this game comming back :o

  • is this one also in stronghold?

  • @TheJakeSweede I dont think so.

  • @TheJakeSweede This is the menu music.

  • I believe that if there is any beauty in war at all. It is the trickery and betrayal tactics that people use to get their way. The strategies used to minimize casualties in battles. And how men are drived by war to create better tecchnoligies to surpass their enemies. And that, in itself is a bitter sweet beauty, as it always leads to death.

  • @TotalRoman04 Well I believed that the beauty of war is it would draw enemies into allies, turn destruction into a new creation, and most of all, restore the unity from chaos

  • r.i.p assasins finger

  • This is how my dad talks to me, lol

  • man i love the total war series, its one of the best things that have come to the pc since half life, massive battles that requires tactical excelence in order to win, and dont forget to keep the morale of your troops high, and use flanking manuvers if necesary, what more can i say?

  • Lol nice lyrics

  • @iHardcored

sorry for the raging comment i posted dude :(

  • @kickassemperor No problem

  • Alleluja = Alhamdullellah in Islam, Amen is Amen.. too

  • @pocasha "Amen" does not mean 'bless him', it means "so be it" and it's used as an affirmation. That's why it's said after every prayer.

  • @TACGNOL9000 Indeed! I thought that too! This person really does need to research his words before trying to sound intelligent!

  • @TACGNOL9000 Correct :)

  • They should play this music during sunday masses when priest enters the church :)

  • best part of the song, turn it the fuck up!! 1:27-2:00 ..wait where are the drums like in the game? lol

  • lol my birthday was on easter ^_^

  • i love this music <3__<3

  • Happy Easter, Christendom.

  • @pocasha well actually it means:

    Alleluïa, Alleluïa, Alleluïa,

    Hosanna, Amen

    Jesus Christe, Jesus Christe

    Alleluïa, Alleluïa, Alleluïa, Alleluïa

Praise Yahweh, Praise Yahweh, Praise Yahweh, Praise Yahweh

    save us, i pray, truly

    Jesus Christ, Jesus Christ

Praise Yahweh, Praise Yahweh, Praise Yahweh, Praise Yahweh

but the meaning behind it was right :)

  • This have dislikes? Crusade!

  • Comment removed

  • @iHardcored 10 people dislike? Maybe not a crusade... perhaps the burning of heretics?

  • @Donald6193 thats called inquisition for short :P

  • @Donald6193 Ok so lets send priests.

  • Il cut your throat with a dagger,

    Amen.

  • Its incredible how such a little thing could cause the biggers wars in the medieval era. Religion....

  • @iHardcored Man, they didn't have electricity and internet back then so, just for entertainment I would've volunteered myself. War for religion is like fantasy for more fun. Methinks.

  • @efeorh .____________.

  • @efeorh Really? in medieval time death was often slow, maybe a sword through a gut, or how about an ear infection? Gangerine? Let's say that you're lying on the ground, bleeding to death, the cavalry charge in and your legs, body, arms, head is crushed? Blood and guts littered the battlefield and crows and ravens and ther scavenging birds usually feasted, sometimes pecking at a still-consious soldier. He would be screaming, his eyes being pecked out.Mens screams would be all that was to hear.

  • @efeorh war is sweet to those who have never experienced it

  • @kaiuycn who says that that sentens is right? there where a lot of people who expierenced war and still wanted more fighting and loved to wage war so that sentence is incorrect

  • @Thereisonlywar Really? Who? The Kings who waged them? The Jews who profited off them? The Princes who commanded from their palaces? Sure you could say some soldiers enjoyed battle, but battle and war are two different things. Sieges that last years, where the garrison died from disease and starvation, and sustain themselves by cannibalism, that's war. Spending months sitting in a trench, living among rats, shitting yourself from bloody diarrhea, that's war. Battles were rare, unlike in movies.

  • @efeorh

Be careful of what you wish for boy ....

  • @kickassemperor It's amazing how people can make judgements about others reading one comment on YouTube. You'll realize it's not much of a big deal to call someone you don't know "boy". And maybe even learn to respect other people's thoughts. But if you have so much inferiority complex, and it makes you feel better to be "older" than someone on the internet, get over it.

  • @efeorh Its not about age ... its about the quality of thought that people have ... i don't have the ( inferiority complex ) . Medieval times were beautiful in *some* countries and awful in others .... But war isn't beautiful ... especially in those times were death was by cutting out the guts of your enemy while a horse charges into you and crushes your bones ... I respect people's opinions .... but i must offer my own *review* of the idea ...

I disrespected the idea ... not you as a person

  • @kickassemperor Its was certantly better then get a bullet from a sniper or a random shot from nowhere and not to mention hit by rockets or nuclear weapons/ gas this war isnt beautiful but the wars before the gun revoliution in my opinion were beautiful , i respect people's opinions ... but i must offer my own point of view of the idea... I disrespected your coment ... not you as a peace loving person

  • @iHardcored

Because religion was the biggest thing in medieval times .... idiot .

  • @iHardcored its not the religions fault as it is the fault of the humanity

  • whats the original song from 2:00 to 2:34 ? I've heard it before but I can't remember the name of it.

  • @Romanpenguin1 sounds like something from rtw

  • And what does christ tell about Total war?

  • @SvitjodsWarrior

He said: "War often appear glorious to those who have never experienced it!" ...ok, so it wasn't him. But anyway. O_o

  • @Ander01SE it is incorrect to think that way

  • @pocasha Jesus is a Hebrew name i completely agree but Christ comes from the ancient Greek Χριστός (Christos) which means the anointed one..The one who accepted the Chrism...

  • @pocasha Amen means "So be it" or "Truly"... Check out Wikipedia :D

  • @Prussiaaccount you can change the facts from wikipedia idiot!it reads in the bible that it means praise the god, dont put everything on wikipedia!

  • @darnjack0roll Calm down... Amen means "truly" according to other lexicons to :D Do something about your grammar...

  • @Prussiaaccount well, you should do something about ur brains!

  • @darnjack0roll It DOES mean "truly", "certainly", "it is so", etc.

  • @TaintedMustard no it doesnt

  • @darnjack0roll Sure it doesn't. Whatever you say.

  • i remember buying finally buying this game..then buy 24 beers and some jack links and spend an entire day playing this

  • Jeff Van Dyck is a legend!

  • @SerbiaMaNiAC Blasphemy! Heretics! Witches! BURN THEM TO HELL!!!

  • The only part I like is 01:28 to 02:00

    ...

The prayer is... creepy for me :l

  • @Doctorkukuh and thats the best part :D

  • Comment removed

  • @Doctorkukuh To 1:35 to 1:42 , it reminds me of a song in Resident Evil i don't know why.

  • May Allah strike down all infidel crusaders!

  • @kirby28645 LOL

  • @spitzer72 And you're saying that the Pope didn't use and is not using his power for other reasons than to lead Catholics on the path to Heaven?

Also, you're clearly not too used to the New World Order. The Pope's just one of its tools, as are most bishops in most countries.

Also, look at the US Catholic priests. They basically are misguided fanatics thinking that you'll be forgiven any sin or can do anything because Jesus Christ died on the Cross.

Now, this convo is turning too awkward. End.

  • @makingabang "US Catholic priests. They basically are misguided fanatics"

have you ever seen those baptist ministers "healing" people its one of the most pagan things you could possibly see, admitely the catholic church isnt perfect its 2000 years old of course it would change slihgtly over time but look how different christianity has become since the reformation the mormans and other protestant cults its hiliraious also you lost all credability when you mentioned the "new world order"

  • @seankinsellasean Firstly, yes. I did. Even God's Saints would rarely be gifted the power to heal wounds and these, "Men of God" go shouting "JESUS HEAL HER" or "GOD IS HEALING YOU". Healing was achieved by saints with fervent prayer, not shouting Jesus and God in vain. It's just staged to make silly people actually believe them and their cult.

Don't mention my credibility. Ignorance is not bliss. Ignorance is blight. That's why I mentioned it.

  • @spitzer72 Part 2: the churches separated after the Schism. I do not know what Catholics are taught, but we Orthodox take the Pope excommunicating one of his fellow Godsent people heresy, and the separation of Catholicism from Christianity a heresy as well.

Also, look at the churches layout. There's almost no look-alike between them. Orthodox aren't encouraged to pray to God in Catholic churches.

Finally, you said that we have no right to be separated. Isn't that what happened in 1054?

  • @spitzer72 You're first cancelling my statements, then cancelling yourself out.

Prayers DO have either added or modified words. For example, let's take the Creed. The Catholic creed is different in the ways that it is expressed.

The Apostles and the BC Saints are present in both beliefs, but I have not heard of any Western saints in the Orthodox Saints calendary, nor the opposite. Does that sound like unity?

When did I mention that the Holy Trinity is unequal or separate? I only said the,,,

  • @spitzer72 Actually, our Orthodox priests and Religion teachers (we only study the Orthodox religion) mention the unity of the orthodox church no matter of borders and call the event of 1054 'The Catholic Heresy'. Also note that both Churches used Christian in their full names, but Catholic prayers have some words modified. Just that they're key words. Also, Orthodox people deny the pope as their religious leader. Hm. We were once united, but now it's almost like a Christian-Muslim relationship.

  • @spitzer72 Alleluia comes from hallelujah, which basically means 'Praise Jah', 'Jah' being the short for 'Jehovah'.

Hosanna is what the people of jerusalem shouted alongside 'Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord' and it basically is something like 'We pray for your help' or so, but can also be used to acknowledge Jesus as the True Son of God.

    It's all basic orthodoxy/christianity stuff.

  • I just read the lyrics the first time here and I am now very disappointed to find out it's alleluia stuff, really, I always imagined the Latin chant in this music to mean something like calling on the troops to cut the enemy knights' balls off.

  • Dous this sound familiar to anyone who played stronghold?

  • @ignacev8x absolutely, i feel the same thing

  • Thanks for the upload... Great piece of music :o)

  • thumbs up for atheistm and awesome music

  • AMEN!!!

    EPIC MUSIC..fits PERFECTLY!

  • @spitzer72: well said!

  • This sounds different. Almost like a remix.

  • you´re looking to download the songs of anything listen well download aTube catcher and all will be yours saludos de Guatemala my friend

  • the best part 2:00 :X:X

  • awesome -.-

  • this song makes my skin crawl

  • medieval II is undoubtedly the best total war game ever!!!!!!!!!!!! empire was disappointing, napoleon was great, Rome was great, Medieval II perfect

  • @doubledipedchip I just beat medi 2 and just started empire... so far I kinda miss medi 2, I hope Napoleon is a lot better

  • @doubledipedchip I'd have to diesagree with you on one thing. Napoleon sucked dick and was a waste of money in my opinion. It should have been an expansion for Empire and it should have only costed around £10.

  • @ComedyRoundTheCorner Yep. Total War seems to have gone downhill over the years. Hopefully, Shogun 2 will be much better.

  • @spitzer72 It has a meaning, read what I've wrote in the last lines. And you can figure out that from the "Jesus Christ" because is in inflection naminative case (Which does not exist in modern English). Is "Ιησού Χριστέ" and "Ιησούς Χριστός". You said I din't read your post but seems you probably done the same ;-)

  • Dude, guys, stop arguing about religion here. You're making everyone else feel awkward. Just listen to the music, damnit!

  • @TheCursedChosen1 they aren't aruging, just because somon is talking about Christianity and you dont want it, dont mean you shall openly lie about it. Be honest and say you dont like Christianity.

  • I almost cried first time I heard this. And you dont need to extract any files to get the soundtrack lol just download it through bit torrent off any bit torrent site.

  • i think this song express gloomy atmosphere of the medieval europe very well.

  • Anyone know why this song isn't in the real game? I noticed this song is in the demo but not the real game.

  • @GabiN64 you can hear this song in the menu. if you play game and go back to menu

  • @spitzer72 Actually it means. Like correctly your mentioned, is words from a prayer.

"Alleluia" in Hebrew means "Praise Yah" where Yah, is tha name of God

"Hosanna" means "save us" and comes from Hebrew language also.

Then is "Amen" which means "So be it"

Next is Jesu Christe (Ιησού Χριστέ) which in Greek means Jesus Christ.

So is... Praise the God x3

Save us, let it be your will

Jesus Christ Jesus Christ Praise the God x3

  • This song sounds different on my game.

  • nice man, and only about 10 douchebags :)

  • @QirexOnyx if Medieval 2 just had the naval battle, i might be able to agree with you.

  • i only question god because when people proclaim god being false and are not striked down by thunder it makes you really wonder..

  • Respond to this video... what is the name of the song and by who at 2:00 thanx where the girl starts to chant

  • @Cosmic23voyager I think it's a young boy, but Rammstein used the sound clip in their song "Hallelujah".

  • Amen. Alleluja

  • This music shows how militarized the crappy christian religion really is, and also the damn jews and muslims! Retards! Fighting for some invisible crap that keeps not showing itself!!

  • @grabedigger What do you fight for?

  • @TheMattanAge Pussy! I fight for pussy!!

  • What heathen whore-son-of-a-devil rated 'dislike' for this video?! Why by god I'll remove his spleen with my broadsword, cut out his eyes then feed them to his arse!

  • The best part ---> 1:21 spanish guitar

  • I love the silhouettes of the guys marching in the background as you hear this, really sets a very somber mood of gloom and men marching to meet death or glory. It's too bad the second one didn't really catch the dark, melancholy atmosphere of the first game. Maybe it was all the colors?

  • I love history and this music will come with history... Beautiful ...

  • A feeling of awe has struck my soul. To feel the essence of a time period through the artistry of music. The Medieval aura experience through incredible sensitivity. Medieval 2 Total War Music - Amen, and the other compositions from this series of writing takes the listener beyond what can be imagined, let alone experience. Meditation and yoga are stretched beyond one's imagination. Namaste'

  • stunning chorus. Amazing.

  • Man, love the organ part, it's just so.... medieval!

  • Hey does anyone know how to get the songs in Medieval 2 total war, or where to get them. Please reply. It doesn't matter who.

  • I made a tutorial on how to get the songs from the game files. just search for 'medieval 2 music extraction', you should be able to find it =).

  • @TotalWarEra Thanks mate. =)

last year I wrote a history paper on the Crusades and this music just stirred my knowledge!

  • two words: VERY NICE...

but i thing some part is from age of empires II

  • Lol I love that game

  • At 1:05 they chant "Ιησού Χριστέ" which is odd since it is the greek orthodox chant for "Jesus Christ".

  • very nice ^^

  • Thanx man

    I like it ^_^

  • Alleluia, Alleluia, Hosanna, Amen!

    Iesu Christe, Iesu Christe.
