Great looking game, really takes me back. The only thing that irked me was every time the pistol was raised, your character pulls back the slide. Completely unnecessary. Reminds me of movies. In reality, you'd waste a round every time you did that.

@4umeandher This was set in a time before UAC's experiment went all wrong and started spawning demons.

This mod is meant to show more insight into the character of the Doomguy. Ten years later after the events of AD2, Doomguy becomes an agent and they show UAC's mistakes as they open the teleports.

Then, at the end of AD1, Doomguy is getting transported to the moon where DooM 1 starts off... This mod is the answer to the famous question of 'who is doomguy?'.

The reason people hate this is because it's different. They were hoping for a sequel for action doom, and they got a "prequel" (I use that loosely because it really isn't a prequel because it has nothing to do with action doom) so they were pissed. I liked it though, call me crazy, but I liked it.

@PvtRichardCranium It has the point with Action DOOM 1. It just after this UAC base explosion, the character tries to find his daughter. The developers says in the end of Action DOOM 2 that's in Action DOOM 3 you will play as daughter, I hope this will another gameplay and gamestyle, hopefull like in Strife with smart point and click actions. The developers specialy make newer addons and changes in style of game to keep it interesting and like you play it on arcade machine.

I enjoyed this game a lot. The music is awesome, as is the branching story. The only thing I wish it had was more advanced melee combat. You pretty much have to run up, attack, and run back before the enemy retaliates. Some more advanced combos (for enemies too) or jump kicks would have been nice to see.

I got the good ending. You have to bust up the gay guy's car right after you beat the first level, then take the subway and beat up some guards in Peter Crisp's office. If you shoot Crisp your daughter falls out the window with him, so you have to survive until the blunderbuss falls off the wall and you can use it to take down the helicopter, causing a distracation allowing the girl to run away then you get to shoot Crisp. That's it.
