Normally, rice salad is a nice dish, but this is just stupid, it looks more like anything was thrown into it. You're supposed to use flavours the mix well together. Most of the ones I've had in most resturants has olives, tuna or salmon, eggs, olive oil and basil. That is a good balance of traditional Italian flavours.

Adding those hotdogs really makes that salad appear trashy.

I mean, she's added fluffy grains of rice to bottom-of-the-barrel pork, some pulpy fish from a can, bitter pickles, and sweet vegetables. And to finish it all off? She dumps oil all over it.

There are many versions of this salad, as for those who don't enjoy hotdogs in the mix, you can replace the meat/fish ingredients with chicken and beef or shrimp. Despite the criticism's people have about it, it is actually a very delicious dish worth trying at least once.
