#1 the talking - The man walking in front of her must be her husband and she's talking to him, not into her hand.
#2 - the black behind her hand I think can just be shadow
#3 - she just might be trying to fix her earring perhaps - her fingers move right at the end so she fiddling with something at her ear - she's also dressed to the nines so it might be a really dangly ear-ring thats snagged on her frock or something.

Sputnik was 1957 and that wasn't even a legit satellite, at least not one that could provide signal for something like a cell phone. Furthermore, if she was really a time traveler and they had invented something like a cellphone that could somehow get reception through time, they would have made it more discrete.

If you google "1924 Siemens pocket sized carbon microphone/amplifier device" it looks EXACTLY like what the person is holding. It's probably either that or it could be someone practicing a scene with an 'imaginary' landline phone and just reciting their lines to themself. And as for looking weird at the camera, they could have just been embarrassed that they were caught on film taking to themself. OR they might be talking to the person in front of them while using their Hearing device.

another preposterous idea would be that the person in the movie is recalling the future.. to compare it.. look at the star trek movies from 60's.. space travel etc. it seems very unlikely but today space travel is not that foreign.. not the same as on star trek but still with years of progress SF will become real.. maybe the person was a bit "insane".. and was doing something no1 could know about in 1920's..

The only possible way of going back in time would be if you could somehow branch off this universe you live in, and travel to a parallel universe that is an exact copy of your universe (but this is highly unlikely). Also, it doesn't make any sense. Why would someone from the future be dressed in 1928 clothes? And why would someone with advanced time travel technology use a primitive cell phone? Really, this is just stupid.

That's what I was trying to say, that in order to travel back in time, you would have to leave this universe and travel to another membrane(another dimension) that has an exact copy of your universe, and then the paradoxes would not affect your future.

even if (although I doubt it) something happened and she ended up in the past, who is she talking to? back then, they didn't even have a cable phone, let alone mobile phones, and even if she was there with a mobile phone, back in those days there was no satellite transmission to "support" that "call" or phone service, so...she's basically talking to herself...those are minor details, yet very important.
