I have an hp tuner log file from the track run, that shows 4200rpm launch (no wheel spin) then 100% throttle the rest of the run with no lift shift. I dont see how you can drive a manual trans any faster than that. but my new automatic with all the upgrades and the edge racine converter dramatically out performs the manual. Even the dyno shows a higher torque output.

The car is now .6 of a sec faster. And it's not the way I drove it with a 6 speed I have log files to prove 100 percent throttle a whole quarter mile. (No lift shifts) but some caution to people I did break the rear differential that way
@MetalRulesRapSux yes, it is faster since there is no time between gears at all. when you mash it in an auto, it keeps accelerating and never stops to change gears, thus it is faster
@chevyman8329 thats what most people think. they may be faster in a straight line, but not on a circuit track. why do you think all race cars are manual?

why would you convert in to an automatic? if shifts are made correctly you can be faster than a automatic.
