Sasuke had to live with tha fact that his brother killed everyone he ever loved and now has to live with the fact that Itachi was ordered to do it for the happiness of others.
Itachi was a man who just wanted peace and to keep his brother safe and Sasuke is just a confused 16 yr old boy who is trying to end his suffering the only way he know's how :(

if you are justifying what Itachi did, then ok..but you must justify what susake will do by destroying the village. the Uchiha clan paid for their revolt with their lives, now the leaf village must pay for their sins. they ordered the excution of everyone..not caring that some are innocent or the children. Susake must make them pay for their crimes too. if they can order the death of so many so blatantly..whats to stop them from wiping out anther clan since they already set a precedent.

I feel bad. Their story is one of complete misunderstanding. Itachi left Sasuke alive. Although he wants to destroy Konoha, I believe that it would make his issues worse instead of resolving them. Losing the brother who he thought he didn't care for, was extremely tough. Itachi hinted more than several times that he didn't hate his brother. Sasuke's revenge drove him to the point of irrationality, where he didn't see who the people who REALLY cared about him were. It's pretty sad, to be honest.

The current ninja system is f***ed up, Naruto's father Minato said so as much. That's why it's pretty much up to Naruto to bring his blood brother back from the darkness, exact justice on the remaining Konoha Elders (if Sasuke doesn't get to them first), and change the system. One Uchiha, Itachi, disagreed with the coup d'état, and informed Konoha's leadership of what the Uchiha were up to. The Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, tried to negotiate for a more peaceful approach. This failed, and to prevent an uprising that would create another war, Itachi was ordered to wipe out the Uchiha. Itachi spared only one: his brother, Sasuke, he would spend the next few years trying to avenge their family by killing Itachi, something Itachi had planned from the very beginning.

Madara claimed that the Uchiha were relocated to a corner of the village so that they could be more easily monitored. The Uchiha interpreted this as confirmation of what Madara had warned them of years earlier, and began to plan overthrowing the village.

DJZOOKIEE is right, itachi was using willpower and medicine to survive until sasuke could fight him, then at the end, he finally gave in to his illness. just read naruto.wikia.com/wiki/Itachi_Uchiha

I always thought Sasuke was so ignorant and arrogant the way he seeked power and put others down, but after Itachi died it seems he just doesn't care about anyhting as long as he destroys the village that made his brother suffer and I quite like that vulnerable side to sasuke so yeah...UCHIHA BROTHERS FTW!!!

@DJZOOKIEE Itachi was a pacifist anyways, he truly hated fighting and killing with a passion and avoided it at any given opportunity. Sasuke is the opposite, violence, whether for good or bad, is what he thrives for. In that regard Sasuke is more powerful, simply because he has the will to kill, thats why when he received Itachi's techniques they were augmented and became more powerful through Sasuke's violent nature. However Itachi's abilities during their fight surpassed Sasuke's yes.

Blarg. It's not that. I realize that the eyes were killing him and such, but their battle kind of did it for Itachi. I realize now (this is like the sixth fricken reply comment -__-) that he wanted to die at the hands of his brother because that was his form of honor, but it's my right to have the opinion that Sasuke's a little jack ass for not seeking out the reason Itachi killed the clan, before killing his brother. A good ninja looks underneath the underneath. He should've asked.

I feel bad. Their story is one of complete misunderstanding. Itachi left Sasuke alive. He wanted Sasuke to foster hate for him, but I believe that he never expected Sasuke to betray the ones he loved. Itachi loved Sasuke dearly. Sasuke didn't know. Although he wants to destroy Konoha, I believe that it would make his issues worse instead of resolving them. Losing the brother who he thought he didn't care for, was extremely tough. Imagine if he killed Naruto. I doubt he broke the bonds...

Itachi hinted more than several times that he didn't hate his brother. Sasuke's revenge drove him to the point of irrationality, where he didn't see who the people who REALLY cared about him were. It's pretty sad, to be honest.

The current ninja system is f***ed up, Naruto's father Minato said so as much. That's why it's pretty much up to Naruto to bring his blood brother back from the darkness, exact justice on the remaining Konoha Elders (if Sasuke doesn't get to them first), and change the system. Plus in Sasuke's case, Itachi didn't die just for his own little brother to die as well.
