Can someone help me with this one, thats a SOHC engine right? In australia the 450 sxf runs a DOHC and the enduro models use the SOHC, is there a more developed model in the U.S or something?
because its different thats all i race a ktm and have ridden them for 4 years now and they are my favorite bike much better motor than suzuki imo although they do handle a little different
@daleyracingteam I think they used the FI engine you see in the ?EXC? bikes as opposed to what are currently in the 450 SX-F model. I think as I could not fully scope out the engine from all sides, and this is what is being reported in several write ups. I could be wrong, so this is more of a educated guess than fact by far.
@BleedMarshall I think your right ive been looking at google images of 450 xc bikes and some of the engines look like that one thats weird that they would be running a xc engine in the sx bike if the xc engine is better why not just put them in the sx bikes?
@daleyracingteam They run the Xc in the SX due to FI. The 2012 SX does not have Fi if memory serves. Also, it has something to due with weight, frame design, etc. *shrugs* In truth, I have no idea save from a few things I read. I am not a KTM engineer of any sort. Hahaha!

@crofrog You're right, not everyone rides inside. But he's setting the bike up for SX, which is generally indoors, dry, and hardpack. Why does no one understand that. He has no base set up for this bike, so it does absolutely no good to ride the bike when the conditions are not what they're going to be 99% of the time he rides.

seeing a number 5 on the bike gave me the chills. im not a dungey fan that much, more for reed or villopoto, but i think he will bring ktm up to the big boy range. ktm are good bikes. they just dont have the rider they need to prove it. alesi isn't a good supercross rider. dungey should open peoples eyes to ktm i think. well see how he looks in testing and the first few rounds of supercross in 2012.

@RedBullBurger25 there is no reason to supercross test on a wet track. you will need to chnge all setings to go back to a dry track for supercross.

well they got a dam RV there! you didnt drive for nothing! Their were guys out there on the track because just the fact means that the track is "muddy" doesnt mean you have to have the BEST setup for it. Id like to see them do a gncc

@RedBullBurger25 there is no rv and that track is prob about 30 min away from his house. if he adjusts his setup for mud or sets it for an unideal track can ruin races for him

he looks much more relaxed and happier than I've ever seen him in any video .. I remember hearing he was going to change his approach to the media later on this year. Good for him if that's true
