I loved Lex Luger. I grew up watching Lex and always wishing he would kick Ric Flair's a%&! It saddens me greatly to see a tragic ending to Lex's career as a wrestler. I am happy that he has found Jesus Christ and that his personal life is salvaged. It's just mind-boggling and profoundly SAD to see a child-hood hero reduced and torn down........I have a new appreciation for what these professional wrestlers give us when we see them on T.V or at the arena. They give us their lives...
this guy used to come to my gym time to time in mississauga ontario back in the day. i remember it like yesterday he was doing three plates on the incline bench.
I read about him and his down slide im glad to see him well. god bless you man
Lex how did you find god? I know im on a destructive path now. I don't feel god or anything along these lines. I don't expect i respond from you but it would be nice.
This guy was one of my biggest heroes when I was a kid. So many memories watching wrestling on Saturday Nights and Monday Nights.... Me and my brothers went crazy the night Luger beat Hogan for the title on Nitro. I still have it on tape and everything. Glad to hear he found Jesus.
It's good to see that Lex Luger has made a great recovery so far. This was a great interview, but I think Lex got his years mixed up in the first part. He said he was still playing football when Hulk Hogan and Andre wrestled at the Silverdome, but that was 1987. If I'm not mistaken, he was wrestling in Florida in 1985 and was named the PWI rookie of the year in 1986.
and how do you know this im not saying the guy is a saint but no one knows what went on only they do and he will pay for whatever part he had in her death hell he already is
I agree with you guys. I think its great that Lex has found a good life with his religion and I love it that he is strong enough to share the downfalls in order to inspire others that they too can turn their life around for the better. Praise God!!
wow... i have nothing but respect for mr. luger. most people would have dodged that question and wouldn't want to talk about their personal problems... but he was very honest and humble. this really inspires me and i thank you for posting this.

I can't help but snicker a little inside when people start talking about how they've found God (an imaginary being) to help guide them - but in this case it appears to be helping Lex, anything that gets you through the day I guess. :)
dude im an atheist but theres no need to bash somebody whos found a religion that helps them live a better life or rather no need to bash their religion.
if luger can believe in a god then good for him. i really wish i could.

I'm glad to see he's doing better. After Miss Elizabeth died and his drug problems I thought he was finished. Never doubt the power of God.

that piece of shit killed Miss Elisabeth. His house was full of steroids and pain killers.
He beat her up every day and she started to drink and took pain killers...the rest is history
