  • thats a good jump for breaking caster blacks and carrier arms plus a-arms lol i'd check your wheel bearings after that run haha

  • @midnightneonmatt what have you been smoking?

  • Comment removed

  • @iltsonitm and if you dont think i know what iam talking about just read further down on this page and you see that i havent been smoking anything but my john players standard cigarettes dude.

  • My rusty vxl will trash both

  • RUSTY!!! lol Jato is okay but shit compared to my rusty.

  • Rustler is a better car. Yes it has less top speed but it has faster acceleration, better suspension for jumping, better wieght balance, and has a slightly higher clearance for more off roading performance

  • @dylsky100 not!

  • @dylsky100 dont forget you can always change your gear ratio to gain more top-end speed and less acceleration out of the hole for larger areas or more acceleration and less top-end speed for shorter area's, Traxxs and Robinson racing have all sorts of different bells and spurs to change from. have a look at a gear ratio chart its nice to see what different setups you can get.

  • Did you change the gear ratio or anything to use the bigger tires?

  • @HifeMan yeah i geared it down to better spin the meats

  • I cant jump my Rustler! Its far too fragile!

  • what battery would i have to get for the reciever on the jato?

  • @jarrett754 your local hobby shop may have the receiver battery you need or you can find a receiver battery for jato on line.

  • how long does the rechargable reciever battery last in the jato

  • @YamahaBanshee21 I have never run it out in the jato and would guess 45 minutes to over an hour. my Revo with a core less brush less servo can run it out in a half hour.

  • where did you get that wheelie bar for the rustler?

  • @Tlsowa4 i forget what one exactly but we looked through the parts at the lhs for other traxxas trucks and found one we thought we could mod up and make work. drilled a few holes and added some nuts and bolts and made it work. sorry cant give more info but that isn't my truck, the owner has moved on and i don't know how to get in touch with him.

  • @Tlsowa4 I just went back and looked, it is the jato that has the wheelie bar and its the stock one that comes on the truck, with the alum BB wheels upgrade installed. we also put another one on the rusty but as i said before we found it in parts department and made it work.

  • are you running them slow or is the fastest they go

  • @TheChrisjohnsonfan28 we are running as fast as we can in the yard and not throw a bunch of gravel around. so they can go much faster

  • looks fun me and my friends this week r going to do some things like that as soon as i fix my sport with a 2.5

  • the one thing I can say here to the comments is this. If you buy something like these trucks just to break them, then you obviously have way too much money and not enough common sense. I own the jato 3.3 and I wouldnt go out and tryto break it up. I like to be able to run consistantly, and as often as possible. Ive broken the front bulk head before due to a crash, and thats all. Why tear it up.....Stupidity is knowing better but doing it without reguard to said knowledge.

  • yea i agree but if you do have the money to fix it it doesnt matter if you push it and do stupid shit with it, i dont so i take it easy but i would bash a lot harder if i could get parts and not care about it

  • i am looking to by a traxxas nitro and i am a begginer is the nitro rustler a good one

  • i prefer the jato 3.3 best beginner one in stock and in the world i have it and it works great

  • yeah my first car was a rustler. its a great car and easy to use

  • I love watching nitros even though I have an electric. Nice vid!

  • I have electrics too. only thing the matter with them, is they don't make much noise!

  • wait till i put some vides on if u dont brake something thats a bad sine its called u rnt haven fun i will show u bashing

  • I've broken tons of stuff!...Anybody can bust their stuff up. With skill's you can abuse your junk and bring it home in one piece sometimes. You break something the fun ends for the day. How do you expect to have fun if your junk is all broken and stuff. (what language is it that you speak / spell? Swahili?!!?)

  • its called take the one min out of runing and fix it or is that two much work. and if u dont like to break things then get a traxxas slash they never break its so anoyying

  • REALLY?!! if it takes a minute to fix it then it isn't really broken then is it?! DON"T hate me cause your stuffs all broke and junk and mine isn't OK!?

  • my shit isnt junk man its better that your shit.and i am a fast worker i can fix anything under 30 min.

  • I don't think you know who it is your talking to...I am a full pension, retired Machinery Technician from the US Coast Guard. That means I most likely have more years experience fixing stuff than you have been alive on the earth...Anything that is intentionally run /bashed / abused, until destruction. becomes junk...end of story. Don't know about you but I have stuff, not shit...

  • u can get at ur hobby story bor abou 5-15$

  • where do you get the rear tires for jato and how much

  • got mine at the lhs, about 30$

  • i found it on amazon for about $350

  • how much are the cars

  • Comment removed

  • yes

  • thx for the help guys

  • o

wat exhuast pipe does the nitro rustla come with?

  • just the stock 2 chamber pipe.

  • is it aluminum?

  • Wow the guy with the Nitro Rustler puts a bad name to it

  • is it just that the engines are different, or it your rusty a little rich?

  • engines are different, jato has a 3.3 and the rusty a 2.5

  • should i get trx rustler 2.5 or trx jato 3.3

  • if your just starting nitro the rustler, if you have experience the jato

  • bad driving much??

  • not sure what you mean? I have over 20 years RC experience both driving and flying and am driving the jato, the rustler driver is a noob, this is his first car. I suppose you can handle a 65 mph nitro powered model better than me then? I have a whole shelf full of trophies i have won racing RC. How many do you have?

  • well the one who recks goin off the jump and the one who runs over the cone sucks..... and i got i nitro rustler and race.... i got 5 first places and 2 3rds

  • How much faster is the jato than the rustler in a straight line on level ground ?

  • so far my jato is 11 mph faster in a straight line. 61 to 50 mph. Check my channel for 'radar runs the tuning' for the video.

am sure can get my jato faster but still looking for a long enough run area...

  • where you get those rear tires from?

  • the local hobby shop.

  • hey about how lond does it take for a rustler tank to empty

  • about 10 minutes for the rusty and seven minutes for the jato

  • oh shit only that long?? how long does it need to cool down b4 u can use it again?

  • just fill it up again before it runs out and you can keep going. no need to cool down after the engine is broken in. if it runs out just fill it up and restart it

  • ok thanks... btw i just suscribed and, how do you break it in?

  • follow the directions in the book, also there is a little tag on the tank lid with the same break in process, 6 tanks later and your broken in...

  • i think one car sounds a little rich...

  • probably, I always error on the richer, not too rich, side of a tune, better than too lean...

  • I have those exact rear wheels and tires on your Nitro Rustler for mine, I love them and they have excellent traction on any practically every surface. Tomorrow I am trying them at the beach on the sand.

  • The Jato is raised and if you jump it you are going to scratch up the bottom of the chassis. Other than scratching it there is no damage. This is what these trucks are designed for so I am pretty much missing your point...

  • how good does the jato hold up cuz i am getting one for my first gas rc and i dont want anything that will break too easy

  • It holds up well!.. don't hit anything WOT...takes the tumbles and bumps well. if you have seen my ramp, i got some real nice air in less than 10 parking spots (/_/_/-> )across the parking lot, with the ramp against the curb for a grass landing(easy 8++ feet)w/flip/s lands flat easy and took the 'abuse' didn't get video of that though, camera guy stood us up...

  • hey man if its gonna be ur first nitro rc u shouldnt buy a jato

  • well i have a little bit of experience with eletric cars and trucks and i am good with those ones

  • if ur jumping u should higher the jato 3.3 because ur damaging the chassis adjust the shock position to higher the jato and use throttle and the brakes to control ur rc in air

  • Yes they are Moabs and their great!

  • Are those Moabs on the back of ur Jato? If they are are they any good?

  • Thats the Idea! :D Practice Practice Practice...And a little adverse attitude testing...so far..so good!!!

  • oh thats all?? thanx a lot 4 ur help!! :P

  • yep, thats all, pretty easy. and your welcome.

  • goods and bads jumps!

    :D
