I also read a study that feminism has caused most women in North America to be more unhappy, and it is true. That explains why I scored the heart of a woman in Southeast Asia much faster than I could when I was in Canada.

There are certain schools of thought (like the one displayed in this show) that are a little off, but many of the early women's rights pioneers were considered feminists. the 60's was another time for women being able to be more freely express themselves and feminism did play a major role in that.

when denise said that sounds so sexist i wanted to slap her because it truely didnt. i am a woman and i feel if your fiance has a bachelor party and your worried about him hooking up with a stripper then you are with the wrong man. you shouldnt have to worry about what he's doing day and night. or better yet, DONT HAVE THE BACHELOR PARTY.

Sorry, but I HATE hearing people (especially women) say that "feminists are annoying," "feminists should shut up," etc.
If you are a woman, and if you enjoy having equal rights -- being able to vote, to work and get paid fairly for it, to choose whom you marry, to play sports in school, to run for office, etc., etc... -- then you should be *thankful* to feminists, not annoyed by them. Who do you think fought for all those rights?

@chieftainette from the way I see it, there is a difference between women's rights and feminism. Women's rights is equality for both sexes, feminism is more like women's extremism (not just leftist women are feminists, even right wing women like Sara Palin). I also read a study that feminism has caused most women in North America to be more unhappy, and it is true. That explains why I scored the heart of a woman in Southeast Asia much faster than I could when I was in Canada.

@sheltv100 you're overgeneralizing feminism a bit. There are certain schools of thought (like the one displayed in this show) that are a little off, but many of the early women's rights pioneers were considered feminists. the 60's was another time for women being able to be more freely express themselves and feminism did play a major role in that.

@sheltv100 There are certainly some "extremist" feminists out there, but I'm sure they make up a VERY small percentage of the North American population.
Also, we should question any study claiming to prove that feminism has *caused* North American women to be less happy than other women. That would be very difficult to prove -- how do we know there's not some other factor(s) behind the difference in happiness, if indeed there is a difference?

Man that's delusional on your part. Here's a fun fact for you. Many women in foreign countries cling to western men simply because they don't have opportunities in their own countries according to their sex. You're a meal ticket. Once they get situated in a western country, learn the language better, they will start to vocalize their true feelings and probably break up with you. I have seen so many Asian women in relationships with western men who were miserable because they felt powerless.
