I've used dozens of these loathsome Caroma junk in my many S. Pacific travels. They are absolutely the most non-bowl-washing, shit-caked toilets I've ever seen in my life; a public Caroma is an almost guaranteed gross-out. And I've seen them clog just as easily as a siphonic with half the trapway bore. I hope these abominations never catch on in America.
It's not swirling because it's a crappy Australian model, just goes to show how far behind the times we (aussies) are. They also don't make Elongated models for us but they do for America.
These pieces of junk should not be allowed in the US. Most US standard household sewage lines are 3", This toilet has a 4" trap, Anything that is big enough to slip threw the 4" trap will almost certainly block your 3" sewage line, And these don't have as good a flush, Also the water surface is extremley small. I just don't like them. The buttons also tend to yellow over time.
i have seen them in some korean resturant in new jersey before , will have to film it nextime, but they are so rare in north america, these toilets have a good policy of "no shit left behind" when they flush :P
High Cistern Toilets Have The Best Flush In My Opinion. My Uncle Who Has A Ollld House Has A Douglas Gloria, And It Will Blow Over Any TOTO Drake Any Day.
No, you won't find an American Standard here and we can't have a American syphonic toilet here due to the waste outlets. Your outlets are in the BASE of the toilets, ours go out the REAR of the toilet and out the wall or down into the floor through an exposed pipe.
They are mechanical like Nick said, they "inject" air usually into a drop valve, one button injects more air and the valve stays open longer, one does less. While some lift the valve a certain way and that affects the flushing time by the level of water in the cistern as it goes down.
My name is jason........I have a question......Is this toilet located in a restaurent?......I have a video request for you......When you can, can you make a video of the eljer toilet(the one you said that leaks)?.........Leave a comment..Thanks
