  • Omg the guy have the same voice that Shepard (mass effect)

  • i really really want to go to vancouver to study but i live in scotland ):

  • We have plenty of students that join us from the UK!

  • This show looks good. What was this filmed on?

also, the blocking and timing at the start was very weak for an opening. I almost switched to another video right away.

  • Good job:o)

This channel is an absolutely fantastic presentation of VFS.

  • That is awsome, i would love to go to your school, Im attending Film School next year for a two year course but i would love to come there after!

The production quality is obviously top notch. I can see why emmy winners have come from the Vancouver Film School.

Im going to be one of those someday.

  • Thanks! Hope to see you here one day. Good luck with your studies.

  • Very niice film :)

Is the director of the film a student from VFS or is he a proffessional from the industry ?

  • The Director, Jacob, graduated from our Film Production program. Thanks!

  • What are my chances of getting admitted to the Film Production program at VFS without having to do the Foundation Visual Design and Art. What pre-requisites do I need ?

And can you give me some more links to videos directed by VFS students for their final project for the Film Production program at VFS ?

  • Check out our Film Production playlist - you can find it on our channel page.

You can find out the full program requirements on the left hand side of our Film Production program page at vfs(dot)com/film

  • filming and sound is AMAZING. The acting is alirrrite (supporting cast seemed actually better than lead roles), but i think its brought down by the completly poor and unimaginative script. The plots good... but come on, "evil company", some bits brought tears to my eye they were so cringey.

  • I don't like the way Aliki's makeup is done--too vampire-y. Washed out skin, red lips. I'm so over it. Also, the engaged couple's acting in the beginning was reallllly weak and their blocking was stiff and the timing seemed forced.

the plot was a little predictable. not the best from VFS.. not developed enough. but a good jumping off point.

mostly i just wish aliki looked less like bella from twilight and the man looked less like the lead vocalist for maroon5

  • this was awesome!!!

  • YES! IT IS!! cool story :) ... and nice lover :D

  • what camera u guys use?

and how u record sound cause u need a pretty good camera to get this sound

    you having? a fieldrecorder?

  • 5/5

  • LOL

  • Omg what a bitch

  • i wouldnt get back together with my ex if she made me kill my fiance...

  • That was pretty cool. I didn't like the acting or the camera work, but how it was all put into ten minutes was great. I hope the writer to this short goes far.

  • wow what an amazing film! so professional!

  • wow BITTCHHH

    awesome vid.. looks so pro

  • lol spot all the continuity mistakes

  • :O THAT BITCH

  • Really liked this one! :) But VFS students did the sound only?

  • VFS students did the whole production

  • In that case I want to go to VFS even more badly!

  • Great news! Please let us know if you need any further information - we would be happy to help out. Thanks

  • Actually getting a phonecall from you guys in less than an hour :)

  • Hey.. I wrote the music for the film. Me and the director Jacob Postmus met through VFS and have since developed a great collaborative relationship. I'm in the Writing for Film and Television program, but was asked to do the film based on previous scoring projects from outside the school. Everything else was done by VFS. I think the cast and crew did a great job and hopefully the music complimented Jacob and Brian's vision. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

  • Thanks for your message. I do have a question. I want to go to the filmproduction programme at VFS. I also compose music, so here is my question: if you are able to direct a short film at VFS, will u have time to compose the music urself as well? Or is this unwise/impossible to do? I tried sending a link with one of my shorts, but it didnt work unfortunatly. will try again later:)

    kind regards.

    jr

  • as long as you know how to compose then you can.

  • I you're interested have a look at my channel and watch 'Short film - Letting Go (HD Version)'. I wrote it, directed it, edited and also composed the music for it. If you have time and are interested let me know what you think about it :) could use some feedback.

  • Great all round pretty much. Script, music, cinematography editing all good but once again the acting was a bit of a let down. Still a great film 5/5

  • Boys thats why you dont cheat on the woman you love... cause the other bitch will trick you into blowing her to pieces </3

Excellent twist, it leaves the rest of his life totally open for endless possibilities.

  • The twist at the end made me scream bitch.

Good job, I loved the plot.

  • I really liked the twist towards the end.

  • Good direction and cinematography. It looked very pro. You could tell where it was heading halfway in but the story though was confusing in parts. Too many loose ends. I also don't get what motivates him to do what he does if he says he's "changed"

  • I like. Great ending.

  • This is really good.

  • That bitch..!

  • Well, this is different. Usually we can complain that "Ohhh the movie is so good, but the ending sucks!". This time the ending was done very very well, but the journey there was plodding with high-school level acting mostly.

It's not like I can do any better though, haha

  • I can imagine the Al Qaeda guys watching this:

"- Hey man, that´s a really good idea! Five stars!"

  • This guy looks like Christian Bale

  • oh dang! nice one tho

  • quite good, but the story is a bit confusing...

  • niec twist at the end.

  • Very nice!

  • the postman always rings twice.

  • ohhh snap! he got owned

  • wow, cool! do you even know ware the movie is about?

  • @jeweetwelcaspar Uhuh, freaking awesome huh xD.

Nop but i was gonna :P, just liked to be cliché

  • thats "freaking awesome" man! your so "freaking awesome"! o, my, god!!! your so cool!
