  • WOW THIS GUY IS A PUSSY! THUMNS UP IF U AGREE :)

  • Change the title to "Man is Going to Skydive from Edge of Space", please and thank you.

  • In space, wings are useless and Redbull is just a plain beverage.

  • was this recorded with a potato?

  • @1ruby11

    HURR SO FAHNNY.

Seriously, fuck off with the old jokes nerd.

  • 1:18 oh ya that looked successful..

  • this was put up in 2010, has he done this jump since?

  • @massieVtec

Was on hold through 2010-11 for legal reasons but back on track for some time in 2012!

  • I love this stuff!!!

  • Do it man. We are only humans

  • i dont think he's gonna break sound barrier unless he had a jet pack on. terminal velocity

  • @MrDOWNTOWNHO Terminal velocity is dependent on there being an atmosphere.

Joe Kittenger jumped from 102k feet and reached a top speed of 614 mph.

This guy is jumping from 120k feet.

  • @L00NGB00W he's still in the atmosphere when he jumps, not sure what your getting at

  • @MrDOWNTOWNHO Sorry, I should have said 'air pressure' instead of atmosphere.

At that height, the air pressure is comparable to a vacuum, so there is negligible resistance.to the force of gravity. The highest speeds will be reached in the early stages of the fall. Then later on, as the air pressure rises, Felix will slow down to terminal velocity.

Joe came within 150 mph of mach 1.

  • @MrDOWNTOWNHO there is no air up there bro. Air slows you when you fall. So if there is no air density you will fall faster. You dont hear or feel air passing you till your lower down.

  • Did Felix come back alive?

  • @st0kx1 search up the team behind red bull stratos- the a team they are jumping soon.

  • @Cessnapilot03 Watch the video before you insult people.

  • @Cessnapilot03 Dude, did you watch the video???

  • @Cessnapilot03 seriusly, now your the douche and dumb ass, good work

  • @Cessnapilot03 Nice job making yourself look stupid.

  • @Cessnapilot03 Lol you're a douche

  • @Cessnapilot03 If you actually watched the video you'd realize that not only does he know someone else did this, he's working with that man to make sure nothing goes wrong. He's trying to break Kettinger's record. You're the one being a douche here.

  • @Cessnapilot03 yes i think he knows

  • @Cessnapilot03 dude he will beat the guys record by some thousands of feet more you idiot. So actually no, no one has accomplished skydiving from the edge of space in which he would be close to leaving the earth's atmosphere.

  • @Cessnapilot03 So much information at our fingertips, and still so much ignorance on display.

  • @Cessnapilot03 do you, the real douche bag, realize that this is going to be over 20 thousand feet higher than that original jump record? :)

  • @Cessnapilot03 Fuck you sir

  • Gordon Ramsay

  • looks like beckham

  • red bull now helps you fall!

  • dam this tud is crazy

  • @st0kx1 An attempted lawsuit from a promoter who says "he" had the idea to do this in 2004 was settled out of court and the group is making preparations in New Mexico to do this very soon now. But, no word on when exactly. But expect it will take place in a few weeks.

  • How do u know exactly where, "the edge of space" is? Wouldn't it suck if he stepped off and floated away.

  • @salriggione

hahaha I was thinking the same thing

  • Its called spacedive

  • 360p and it still eats my dick

  • will there be a betting if he dies or survives?

  • this sucks all tecnology. joe kittinger (i appolgise for spelling) done this years back nd with a split glove and went higher then expected.... he landed nd sparked a tab up.....HERO!!!

  • 1:10 Incorrect.

  • dumb ass

  • Wierd side of youtube again -.-

  • updates people???? reporters

  • @FeelinGipper, you're the idiot. Kittinger is planning the jump. You'd know that if you even watched one second of the video. Felix what's-his-name is just the guy who they chose to jump this year. They tested the new capsule up to 160,000 feet so, I'm guessing that's the approximate jump height.

  • You guys are idiots. This was already done back in the 1960's by a retired Air Force pilot named Joe Kittinger. He rode a fucking weather balloon to over 100,000ft and then jumped out. It's amazing how jealous the human race can be. Not every country has to one up each other.

  • @FeelinGipper So that's why Joe Kittinger is helping him to do this.

  • Does the balloon ever come back down, or does it just stay up there forever?

  • Gus, I did some research and found out that a cord was not tied during the launchso the capsule went off without him.

  • We need more 'smart Americans' to save the world from those 'retarded european clowns' ; ha ha ha ha!

  • @gregsunson Running short over here. We need to borrow some smart americans from europe.

  • 0:30 First of all, shut the fuck up hahaha that's what he should have said

He should have said, I can get laid in 0.00005 seconds where it takes you a year

  • What if he entered an orbital stage ha.. then he is like a satellite no? haha

    RedBull satellite, don't need wings

  • 0:05 what could potentially power a human space ship?

  • FREE PACK OF REDBULL™ WITH EVERY REDBULL SPACESUIT™ PURCHASE.

  • v=xE71aKXjss0&feature=related hes trying to beat this guys record of 30km freefall. also this guy did it in the 60s

  • this has been done before and in the 60s believe it or not

  • of course he works for fucking red bull

  • One thing that I ask for you to attach to your helmet A fucking GO PRO

  • O_o Redbull gives you wings, he does not have wings if he's falling.

  • @twistedyogert the "redbull gives you wings is old", their turning him to an angel instead :P

  • @twistedyogert he got a ball (Gatorade)

  • he sounds like my gym teacher.

  • Why do all American reporters sound like they're announcing NHL players?

  • so when is he going to do it it is 2012 now

  • I would do that!

  • When is he jumping it?

  • if i had a penny for every pixel on this video, id have a penny

  • the edge of space? do i need to explain how retarded that sounds?

  • @strangelylucky

Actually, "edge of space" does describe it well enough. "Near space" would be another way to put it. He's not TECHNICALLY in space, because the definition of space is 62 miles (100km). So he won't be high enough. But he is so high that there will be very little air and he might as well be in space. There are a lot of the same effects and risks of space travel...the fact that he'll be in a near vacuum and that he'll be falling at supersonic speed.

  • @ct92404 oh, ok. i just read it like the furthest reaches of space

  • This guy must have balls the size of Europa

  • im tired of ppl making this shit such big news when it has been years and it hasn't even been done yet...

  • @7Lakings7 It's finally happening this summer.

  • oh i think i get it...Testing a new suit for further space exploration. One man alone cannot manage this thought physically. ITS DEEPER THAN WHAT YOU SEE HERE THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX.

  • Comment removed

  • R.I.P. he was a good man

  • Yo man, good luck... Seriously.

  • YOU CAN TOO LIVE OUTSIDE OF YOUR SPACE SUIT!

  • I just seen this on the news and i gotta wonder how much Red Bull paid him to possibly kill himself ?

  • human nature my ass...this takes some bals

  • @sedgie09 he wont burn up cause hes not leaving the earths atmosphere, but because of how thin the air is he hopes to break the sound barrier

  • i think were somehow related, my last name is Bogaert and i was looking on house of names yesterday and a spelling variation of Bogaert is Baumgartner, so maybe? idk that would be cool to have a long lost uncle set a really cool record

  • did he did it?

  • @EuroSon99 that ,maybe true and all but when the friction starts to come in and starts burning up I'm pretty sure the suit would not save him unless they have some how applied the same stuff used for a spacecraft is applied to the suit. unless they have they found away of shields of some kind to protect him then yes I can see that but as we no of to day no human as never passed the sound barrier and lived. we have only got to Mac 3 if i am correct maybe mac 4.

  • @sedgie09 how ever i can not remember.

  • @sedgie09

The reason why the space shuttle (and other manned spacecraft like the Apollo ships, Soyuz, etc) got so hot is because they were re-entering the atmosphere from orbital velocity...that's 17,000 MPH. (Mach 25!) In this case, this guy would not be traveling anywhere near that fast. He would reach supersonic speed, yeah, but probably more like Mach 1.5 or so. Heating might still be an issue, but it would be very minor compared to re-entering from orbit.

  • watch hes burn in the atmusphir

  • This guy is really going to do it. It is going to take place in Roswell N. M in July I think

  • @sedgie09 the suit would have to not only protect him from the -40~ degrees of space, but the 400+ degrees of re-entry.

  • Can't wait to see it !!Go !!! Felix Baumgartner Can't wait to see the photos!!!

  • Stratosphere jumper. That's one hell of a title to hold, won't it? Even better when your Youtube account has the same name. =P

  • I hope he packs a really good parachute.

  • So, this dude makes 2 pretty lame base jumps, and now 130,000ft? Hmm...Dude has a wheelbarrow named after his testicles, in which he hauls them in. Good luck my friend.

  • what day is he doing this???

  • BRING A GOPRO!!!!!

  • Americans are just as capable of doing this. I can guarantee you a US military fighter pilot could do it easyu

  • @doomlordist1 but they won't, because Americans have lost their imagination and will to dream.

  • world record? challange accepted.

  • Wait - just checked - that was 20 000 ft shorter than what this guy wants to do, so never mind!

    8-}

  • Uuuh this was done in the 60's - Joe Kittinger.

  • err so the video is about him talking about jumping.. wow this blows..

  • Fukn American reporter. Throw his ass up there

  • @miloesalazar we dont even like them in our own country bro lol

  • @miloesalazar YEA BECAUSE AMERICANS ARE THE CAUSE OF WORLDS PROBLEMS....NO ACTUALLY ITS FUCKING FOREIGNERS POSING AS AMERICANS THAT DO!!!

  • It's been done before in 1960. The sky diver went up to 31 KM (19.26 miles) and then just jumped out of his saddle that was tied up to a weather ballon or something similar.

    /watch?v=xE71aKXjss0&feature=youtu.be

  • the awkward moment when he goes to high and floats off in to space

  • @Jamlessbell yes because that's how space works...

  • Fate has a habit of not killing people who have the balls to do the insane/awesome :D

  • nice potato!

  • Red bull gives you balls

  • no wonder he works for red bull.

  • at 1.21 .. Hits edge of cliff?

  • 'ratings have been disabled for this video'. Gee, could it be because the man isn't actually shown doing the stunt in the title of the video that I clicked on to see?? >.>

  • This wAs in 2010 2 years later and we havent seen the video?Maybe he died trying,, :X

  • so we dont get to see the jump wtf?

  • cant even jump from z stairs..lol

  • And the fact that some of you really think he might get caught in no gravity ceases to amaze me. A helium balloon can only go so high. And why is that? because the only reason its rising in the first place is because its surrounded by oxygen within the atmosphere. Once that balloon gets to a certain point it will stop rising because it will eventually because more dense than the air around it. Causing the balloon and the air around it to level out evenly, so he will just hang there till he jumps

  • Get your parachute on and jump, that is if you have the minerals...

  • minge minge minge

  • A human breaking the sound barrier?

Its like real life street fighter!

    "Sonic Boom!"

  • Dear Santa!!!!

  • Dude is nuts man....

  • Imagine if he got caught in no gravity... "JUMP!" ...Wait, why am i going up.... oh fuck...

  • @SkyrimTVCommunity good thing that's impossible

  • I would so do it!

  • ODST lol

  • Why is NASAs future in peril. Because it has never designed the technology to build habitable structures in space itself. It builds on the Earth and exports it to space. This limits the size of the structure and, meams that it is over-engineered to survive in a gravitational environment. Prefabrication and inflatable technologies can put huge structures up there at a low cost, this would get the business world interested and the real space age could begin, using economics not politics. Wake up

  • *leech

  • Comment removed

  • wouldent i suck if instead of going down he went up into space

  • Comment removed

  • @fatfolk225 *facepalm

  • @fatfolk225 It sure would. That's an astute observation.

  • @fatfolk225 impossible due to the fact that the gravitational pull of low earth orbit is only 2% less than that of the surface of the earth

  • @MrYougotshot really i would have never known its not like i was making a joke or something

  • Come back alive dammit.

  • ATTENTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! New camera for sale! The 0.0000000000000000001 pixel toaster camera! buy now!!!!!

  • This would be an amazing way to die o.o

  • @MrSacrafice Plus smoking a joint or eating some mushrooms before, what a trip.

  • @MrSacrafice Splat.

  • @MrSacrafice most exhilarating last moments of any ones life

  • something this epic should not be filmed with a 2 pixel potato

  • skydive from space?

    challenge accepted.

  • The thermosphere is the highest layer

  • did he ever do it?

  • so what happened? did he do it? where can i find the video?

  • @jenenjisgarden Nope, last article I found about it from Oct. 2010 says that Daniel Hogan claimed he gave Red Bull the idea for this jump and that he is entitled to a portion of the profits from the event. Red Bull doesn't seem to have posted anything about it since January 2010. Likely it has been scrapped. Although with how long court proceedings can go, it is still possible that it is still alive.

  • Doesn't matter who the fuck does the record breaking jump, stop squabbling in court and get the damn jump done or we'll be waiting for another 20+ years

  • Free fall doesnt mean survive.

  • I always wondered about the sense of the lyrics "skydive to the moon" surely in a skydive the vital component would be a SKY! and to Dive means to plunge, submerge, dip, sink, duck, immerse. all related to moving downwards through a medium. so while I was being blown through the roof from the thumping base and euphoric trance it was always gnawing away at me how bad the grammar was...Damn you education,Damn you to hell. Savage vid too of course :)

  • he is from austria ( europe )

  • i do that shit every morning before i go to work

  • not really

  • Please don't fall on my house or even in my yard....I don't want to clean up the splurge.

  • Its never going to happen, they have been tied up in court as red bull is fighting with another party that claimed they had the idea for the jump first, sad as all the work that went in to it.

  • @obscured021 Today I read in an Austrian newspaper that the problems are solved and it will going to happen. I hope that's true.

  • Are you afraid of dying?

Of course I'm afraid of dying because I work so hard to reach that level and I'm living a good life........ Then why in the fuck are you doing it?????

  • Didn't this guy punk out? Records still up for grabs. You're looking at the man whose going to break it.

  • Sooo if i drink Red Bull I can jump off a jellyfish looking thing in outter space, landing possibly on North America? Also, if the G-force doesnt force blood & my tonsils outta my ass drinking Red Bull eventually will?

  • Joe, who did it in the '60's did it TWICE!!! First time he almost died because of uncontrolled spinning. He was spinning so fast that the blood was going to his feet, head and hands and not to the organs in the middle of his body. (you know how if something spins the weight goes to the outside, like a washing machine). I'm not sure how they can prevent spin.

JOE HAD HUMUNGOUS BALLS OF STEEL

  • Damn

  • woudlnt it be funny if he went so high he just floated away lololololololol

  • Is he Swiss? Because he's accent sounds like (Swiss)German.

  • will he not burn like a meteorite?

  • @MaddGrimm No he will not burn like a meteorite because he never left earths atmosphere

  • His wife must be a bitch

  • They wanted to send Red Bull "Outtaspace!"
