  • Doyle Bramhall II is one of the greatest guitar players ive ever listened...

  • roger need 3 guitarist and a voice for do what gilmour did XD

  • Comment removed

  • 7:37 - 8:42 Gilmour singing "stone" :D

  • This guy is fucking awesome!

  • Buena canción

  • Excelente cover de Dogs, eso sí, sin Gilmour sólo es un cover nunca tendrá el sonido Pink Floyd ... Además el 90% de Dogs es obra de Gilmour.

  • this is in the flesh isn't it?

  • @BlackStrat96 yes, go out and buy it

  • Roger and the band have a drink and play some poker during the keyboardists synth solo, LOL, and I thought I'd seen it all!

  • not complete...

  • @Westerner86 Yes it is...... watch part 2.

  • Roger should have sang all of wish you were here on the original album , the style of music suits his voice than david gilmour. I love gilmour , but his voice is angelic ie use comfortable numb as example to contrast the different style's.Its also funny the gilmour's guitar and waters bass are like brother's, black with mable neck.

  • f*ckin' Doyle Bramhall is a monster!!!

  • eu fico soo imaginando eu em um show desse... eu ficaria muito louco!!!

  • Jon Carin

  • full version in better quality /watch?v=PbcErksRVgo

  • Pink Who?... Pink Waters

  • this is amazing to watch

  • the guy is truly amazing! God!

  • I have the dvd and cd.The epitomy of entertainment, such great musicians.

  • i just noticed that the guitarist with the fender plays a left handed guitar with strings as a right handed...O_O

  • @CalGia some of left handed guitarists play in this way ;)

  • @CalGia yes i see O.O but why this thing is..........hard but idiot

  • Waters a la basse.Album animals 1977.

  • Mind Blowing.........He chews gum, wears Jimmy Page outfits, .....and plays David to the tee.

I love how Roger and his back up laughs together as this kid fucking kills it.

Don't respond as I know he learned from his Dad's records by ear...........we all know.

  • This isn't Roger Waters.

  • Best version ever!!!!

  • I agree with that man: There's not a better version of this song!!

  • the name of this DVD ?

  • @ciokabaraka In the flesh tour. Portland Oregon. Hope this helps. BeGood.xx

  • Very well done! The fellow singing sounds very similar to David.

  • @victorseay That's Jon Carin. He actually started out playing keyboards with Pink Floyd in the post-Waters era and went on to play with both Gilmour and Waters in their solo careers.

  • @Psykel Thanks for the info! Does he have any albums? hes very very good!

  • @Psykel he is the dogs xx

  • love it. what a great performance and brilliant recording.

    where is part 2 ??

  • "...stone, stone, stone, stone..."

  • @ElAullidoDeLaNada

    goose bumps...everytime...

  • live the way Bramhall plays Albert King style strung upside down

  • Realmente hay 41 weones que no cachan nada de nada!

  • @Vladizz - "In the Flesh - Live"

  • @cottontailcustoms The best concert ever!

  • If only David was singing and playing lead !

  • This contains the finest moments of all recorded music. Mr. Bramhall's fingertips supersede a brain surgeon's art in his flawless execution. A soul paddle, this song is matchless in its wonder.

  • tremendo!

  • Doyle Bramhall II and Snowy White FTMFW

  • Greatest live version of Dogs ever.

  • rogers face at 1:41 enough said

  • I love the dvd, only one thing that ruins it, that lefty guitarist chewing his gum like a ass

  • @TheDutchMusician who cares. he can play and chew gum at the same time.

  • @rodxwx.... Doyle Bramhall III. His dad was drummer for SRV.... grew up around all those guys, but they'd never let him restring one of their guitars Hendrix style.... so he taught himself to party on a righty...... UPSIDE DOWN! Pretty sweet playin', eh?

  • @goodingte His dad was a keyboardist co-songwriter with SRV... not a drummer. (R.I.P. Doyle Sr.!)

  • who is the guitarrist in red guitar ? what's his name ?

  • 8:43 is a orgasm

  • Very good but Floyd are the masters! why try'n emulate them???????

  • @TheJonrich Considering Roger wrote most of these songs I consider it far from emulating.

  • Absolutely spellbinding. Animals... cynical and amazing. One of the best live performances of any song ever. There is so much talent on that stage I'm surprised it didn't cave in.

  • The real song is 17 mins long, this is 10 D:

  • @TheIanator100 Your missing part 2. This version is 17 min long.

  • I saw this show when he came to Pittsburgh. Only time I cried at a concert.

  • Amazing music !!!

    I love it !

  • 05:53 is exactly where the song becomes anything but Floyd. I think Gilmour sent Jon Carin over to make sure Roger doesn't eff it all up.

  • I saw Floyd perform the Animals album live in 1977 at Anaheim Stadium. The musicianship and Quad surround sound made for a memorable evening of David Gilmore's legendary playing style and vocal leadership. Never would I think that Waters and Doyle Bramhall could even come close to that sound but this performance of Dogs is superbly crafted.

  • An incredible piece of music.

  • George Waters.................

  • This...this is pretty damn cool

  • flawless!

  • Top notch! I am a huge Gilmour fan, but know without without Waters the best Floyd music would not exist (like this and the string of albums before and after). With that said this is another awesome version I can enjoy. Thanks.

  • Dommage ça s'interrompt au meilleur moment...

  • Joe Carin is fantastic

  • @timosavy Yes, he is. It's "Jon" btw.

  • @timosavy jon carin

  • show me a better version of this song (without the full band) ......doesn't exist.

Roger always plays with the industries' very top musicians and nothing less.

the talent he's got on this tour is insane. highly recommend the dvd!

  • @cottontailcustoms whats the dvd's name?

  • @cottontailcustoms wich dvd is it?

  • The last and greatest Waters(lyrics) and Gilmour(music) song of all time?

  • @1daddy57 comfortably numb?

  • @sowhat123 ok...the most underrated then

  • roger waters es la escencia de pink floyd, cualquiera sean los musicos q lo acompañen logra el sonido original de pink floyd

  • ideots...great music, wake up.

  • i feel dragged by the stone, and i feel great!

  • 3.30 is whats the song about

  • @marochik88 If ya don't know, then there's no point...Move On Pal

  • 1:43 funny face from roger waters

  • Very nice guitar work and a brilliant vocal delivery from Jon Carin

  • It's funny that the guitar player who looks like Jimi Hendrix is also Left handed xD

  • @vaxkors95 Doyle Bramhall II is a great guitar player and singer. Check out his albums and work in Arc Angels. He actually plays the guitar upside down. Crazy.

  • I get excited every time I hear it! It moves me like the first time! great Roger Waters! Thanks Roger!

  • @satsat57 actually its a gilmour song

  • @timosavy No, it's a Gilmour-Waters song, check the Animals boocklet. Gilmour made the music and Waters wrote the lyrics. Anyway, "Dogs" it's a great song!

  • @cvszasz You're right.. I admire deeply David, but Roger was the mastermind! Thanks for the data

  • @timosavy Are you implying that the lyrics of this song are more essential to it than the music?

  • Comment removed

  • This is one of the best Floyd tunes ever, imho. Anyone come across Les Claypool's cover of this entire album?

  • 3 guitars are not gilmour... in animals record, the group request at least like 2 more guitars

  • I can't find part 2?

  • 08:45 is so awesome.

  • We know Dvid Gilmour is not there, we are not blind. But we do know this is great music regardless.

  • 4:15 Roger and the guitarrist

  • such a nice acoustic

  • anyone else get chills at that solo at about 5:45 and on?

  • This is why you can't beat Pink Floyd!!! The best!

  • this song better than all the david gilmour songs

  • @PinkTheBeat this one is also a david gilmour song.

  • lol i thought the dog barks and howls were coming from outside, i paused the music like 10 times

  • @HornDogXD /watch?v=1enfo8zn3_g

  • pretty good Gilmour imitators up there, Roger really pieced together an excellent backing band here

  • Outra obra prima!

  • not close to the orginal

  • @eg640 Yep, I agree its better.

  • Jon Carin FTW.

  • I love this song so much

    Truly Exceptional.

    In my favs now.

    Thankyou.

  • i am so glad to be alive !!! , to hear , see and appreciate every thing about this band , it does not get any better than this !!! , life is Good !!!

  • Roger grazie di esistere!!!!

  • Great job bringing this back to life.

Can't wait for the 2012 WALL tour Toronto, ont.

  • @TaosZenShaman lol that makes absolutely no difference but yes his solo was amazing, the person your referring to is Doyle Bramhall II He toured with SRV when he was just 16 :O

  • @PSXGAMER22 Doyle played with The Fabulous Thunderbirds when he was 17...he didn't actually play on tour with Stevie, though Stevie put him on stage as early as age 12...

  • simply performed profesionally and like an orchestra!!! this is what the word Quality means .love Pink Floyd , Thank God for Ears ...

  • Who was born in a house full of pain - Who was trained not to spit in the fan - Who was told to do by the man - Who was broken by trained personel - Who was fitted with collar and chain - Who was given a pat on the back - Who was breaking away from the pack - Who was only a stranger at home - Who was ground down in the end - Who was found dead on the phone - Who was dragged down by the stone --- This song is my very favorite , it brings tears to my eyes !!!
  • @helperout AMEN

me Too- every time i hear it.

  • Complimenti eccezionali

  • Ha! I loved the put the knife part with Roger gesturing. :)

  • Very impressive

  • Jaja el que canta esta bien cagado xD

  • god waters não vai perdoar os 39 idiotas no dia do juizo final

  • who's that fucker with the red guitar? he looks like thinkin' "i'm god, roger fuckinwaters don't mean anything in front of my beauty"

  • @Goryllo Doyle Bramhall II , is a guitarist and vocalist in his band Smokestack, Jimmie Vaughan, Arc Angels, Eric Clapton, Roger Waters, Sheryl Crow

  • @Goryllo Fuck that cunt with the red guitar

  • 39 people can't pick out the easy meat.

  • fucking doyall!! Awesome!

  • Incomplete !!!! Sucks!!!

  • aww, but I wanna play cards with Roger Waters too...

  • Sinceramente que hay personas que no saben nada de musica como los 39 pendejos que se ven....

  • Why??

  • why?

  • These guys souds exactly like Gilmour singing and plaing

  • that singing is just not right

  • The most over the top CANCER HERHEHRHERHHER.

  • Pretty sure the LEAD guitarist is playing a RIGHT handed guitar flipped over without changing the nut or restringing the guitar. He is playing a right handed guitar LEFT handed !!!

  • @MWS005

Nope its a left handed guitar with a right handed neck. But indeed the strings are set for a right handed player. Doyle Bramhall II is his name, he totally nails it really...

  • @2004otto ,,. Bonnie & Delaney's son?

  • @AvirtualSwitzerland Nopes their name is Bramlett nog Bramhall. He's the son of Doyle Bramhall Sr.

  • I find it surprising that the harmonies are thinner on this than the recorded version especially considering the 3 female singers and countless male singers.

  • 2 piano's = Richard Wright

  • Worth listening to... pales in comparison with the REAL THING though... and that is DAVID GILMOUR!

  • Pink Floid fue unico INIMITABLE

  • I like this alot. But I gotta say: without Gilmour, Waters would just be a poet. But without Waters, Gilmour is still Gilmour!

  • Around the end, the synth does too much wah; if you will, and the lefty guitarist with the red guitar puts too much hardcore solo into it; Pink Floyd NEVER does fast strumming like at 5:53 :/

I don't really like this, it seems like a sort of betrayal to the band.

  • They actually play poker halfway through the song? Only Roger Waters...

  • Beauty survives.

  • Is that actually the sample of Dave doing the OH, OH, OH, OH< OH ?

  • @CtrlRm it's stone actually, not 'oh' :)))

  • Just another sad old man...all alone...and dyin of cancer....

  • wen it's all said and done pink floyd was truly a great band with all the members, and yu wud have to admit Rodgers puts on a great gig as Gilmour does it wud take some doin to get a guitarist like Gilmour

  • Is that my boy Steve Hackett playing Guitar? The metallic gold colored Gibson, No wonder this version had much depth to it.

  • @firthoffifthtom No it isn't... It's Snowy White, guitar player who performed with Floyd since the 70's...

  • This is not a bad version. Roger does it justice with his musicions. Granted it's not 77. Less white boys on dope here.

  • certainly missing something ? oh wait the rest of pink floyd thats it !

  • dw33sh..!

  • 34 idiotas no tienen idea de lo que es el rock progresivo

  • @davimundo 37 idiotas no tienen idea que es la musica.

  • @davimundo dude i have no idea what you said but somehow i get what you mean

  • 3 guitars=David gilmour

  • @adjesbr You really think David, as great as he is, played that full range live. Studio yes. live no.

  • @adjesbr 3 guitars equal overdubbing idiot. That crap Gilmore called the MLOR tour had 4 guitars....... so I guess it took Roger 1 less guitar player to pull it off live..... unlike that greedy pig Gilmore.

  • @marcusdolby1 Why do you use words as crap, greedy pig for David Gilmour. Without him there would be no dogs and other great Floyd songs.

  • @marcusdolby1 Wrong! It was Gilmour and Tim Renwick on backing guitar. That's two. Either you can't count or you ignorant. Why is Gilmour greedy? Waters was an ego maniac who thought he was the band, and that it should just die when he said so. Even Waters now admits he was wrong.

  • @zdlore1985 Tim Renwick, Guy Pratt, Scott Page, David Gilmore and sometimes Jon Carin. Dont know where you get your info from but its wrong. And Gilmore, who later admited to only bringing in Richard Wright to win the court case against Roger is, was, and will allways be a greedy SOB. He banked 82 million on that tour. The other members were on a salary.

Waters gets blamed for so much BS, I bet you didnt know Gilmore with Waters fired Richard durring the Wall for snorting to much Coke.

  • @marcusdolby1 Scott Page played the saxophone! Guy Pratt bass guitar(who do you think replaced Roger). Jon Carin keyboards. Look it up. I've read multiple books on Pink Floyd including Sauceful Secrets and Comfortably Numb. The story is during the Wall it's true Wright wasn't pulling his weight. While on vacation with his family, Waters demanded Wright come in immediately to add keyboards to a song. Wright refused. Fed up, Waters said that either Wright quit or he would scrap the Wall project.

  • @zdlore1985 Scott page also played guitar sometimes like Andy Fairweather low sometimes played Bass and guitar. The original statment made about Gimore = 3 guitars doesnt mean shit. It doesnt take a genius to figure out Gilmore and any other recording musician can overdub in the studio.

Even Gimore used 3 guitarists live. The reason both Gilmore AND Waters use more than one guitar player on stage has nothing to do with Gilmores ability to play 3 parts at once.....cmon.... really?

  • @marcusdolby1 I don't have a problem with Waters using three guitarists. It's true Gilmour overdubbed guitar parts, but you are still wrong about him using four guitarists during that tour. Scott Page played guitar just because he wanted to play when he wasn't playing the sax. You couldn't even hear what he was playing. Scott Page was not hired to play guitar. The point should be that Gilmour is an awesome guitarist. He wrote the music to Dogs, and these guitarists stay close to the original.

  • @marcusdolby1 At the time, the band was in dire straits financially due to bad investments. Gilmour told Wright that he wasn't pulling his weight but that he would support him. However, Wright was weary of Waters and disillusioned with the whole band scene and agreed to resign after the Wall. It's true that Gilmour brought Wright back for legal AND musical reasons(he did play on AMLOR). After the tour, he was reinstated as full member. Lastly, Mason was a full member for the AMLOR tour.

  • @adjesbr it's four at one point.

  • @adjesbr - 3 guitars were used in the recordings, acoustic and 2 electrics overdubbed in 2nd and 3rd solo. They can't play like Gilmour but they're still awesome or Waters wouldn't have worked with them. So in actual fact, 3 guitars = David Gilmour x3.
