FORZA 4 just released a DLC with the 747B in it! and it was MIND BLOWING!!! the sound and the cockpit and EVERYTHING was SICK!!! I can't stop smiling when revving the 787B in FORZA 4 !!! omg... I don't think I'll be playing GT5 in a while =)

For those who say the sound is terrible... Do you know how this car sounds in real? Search for "Mazda 787 onboard".

The Mazda 787B was the first and the only car to win the 24h of Le Mans with a Wankel-engine -- which is the matter for the special sound.

@celsius315 doesn't take away the fact that they made the sounds very crappy in comparison to reality. the 26B wankel engine in the 787B racecar has a VERY high pitched noise. In game it sounds like a souped up lawnmower.

@olepotti This game sounds a lot better when you set the output to "Large Theatre" in the options menu... however to really appreciate the increase dynamic range you need to actually own a large theatre setup. (Smaller systems may work well too but larger systems with a wider array of full range speakers is recommended).

@vinnievincent85 I get what you mean, you're right a better system won't improve the sound quality, it will just play them as they were recorded. To put it another way anything less than a high-end system will just degrade the sound. I'm running the game through an Onkyo AVR with Mission and Mordaunt Short full range speakers (bi-wired) and 12" subwoofer. It's connected by HDMI1.4 and the game is outputting 7.1 Linear PCM in 'Large Theatre' mode and full 3D. Sounds amazing to me :D

@MsMecagoen10 I am a owner of g27, gt5 and ps3 and I can say based on hours of gameplay that the game in general sounds ridicolous (or how ever you spell it) it does not make the engines justice whatsoever with both engine sound and revving... it is poooor... I really think the game is too clinical and lacks dynamics... I do understand what you mean but it is a problem in general

@elchicoboy A 20B engine consists of 3 rotors each displacing 654cc. If you want a 4-rotor engine, you either have a 13J, or a (R)26B, with 4× 654cc. No such thing as a 20B with 4 rotors unfortunately.

Mad Mike's Drift FD has a 20B engine with 3 rotors, and as far as I know he now has a RX-8 equipped with a 26B (4 rotors).

just a question, I've been playing GT5 since the day it came out but still have the HUD on. If I turn it off in an endurance race, will anything come up on screen when I get low on fuel? Tyres i'm fine with because you can tell by feel, but will the game notify you when you are running dry? Some of the Fuel Gauges on the premium cars don't work properly in cockpit view like the F458, after about half way, it stops going down.

@lemans24fan I know this is late, but when you are low on fuel, your car goes into gas saver mode. It limits you to 50mph so you never truly run out of gas... Unless you keep going but I never tried that.

Oh, yeah, I know it goes into a reserve fuel tank or so it seems. I was just wondering if an icon appears on screen to tell you that you must pit the next lap so that you don't have to run another full lap at only 50mph. that can be a real pain at the Nurburgring of Le Mans. Actually, I think I'll try it myself today and see what happens.

@lemans24fan I was driving a Lexus IS F with 670hp on Circuit de la Sarthe. 12 1/3 laps until the fuel went low. Engine cut just before the second chicane. Took a while to get to the pits. Had to stop for tires twice. Took almost an hour, but I didn't have anything else to do. lol Let me know what happens.
