  • in Turkish Kurdistan (North Kurdistan) Kurds are being oppressed by the fascist regime.

  • fuck all rascists !!

  • turkey 4 best

  • That was courageous. People need to know the truth. Kudos to this man.

  • You should condem the rioters. If you care about your new country dont be so quick to bite the hand that feeds. If you were living in turkey this kind of political statement would be frowned upon. in fact it would land you in jail. You are just a washed up old angry lefty. I dont think you speak for all turks and kurd who in my experiance are quite happpy in uk. Get a job or go home

  • Thanks for posting this. If this is the considered view of the Kurdish community then I am shocked. To watch them shout their condemnation in one of the few countries in the world where they can then they are surely rather confused.

  • It's good to see a voice calling for calm between Hackney's various ethnic communities. The BNP, the EDL and certain vain historians who should know better have been setting the case for an understanding of the riots based on race rather than poverty. Don't get me wrong, I'm no apologist for the thuggishness and violence we've all seen. I'm just saying that I live in Liverpool and most of the rioters I saw were white lads from North Liverpool. It's not race - it's poverty.

  • I don't think that the police gun down people because of the colour of their skin and i think that aggressively shouting on the street is going to inform people in a negative way, not promote peace.

Our society is not a racist one. Yes there are racist people who need to learn the wrong they do.

For him to be able to stand on the street and talk the way he does with police standing by not doing anything says something. There are not many places in the world where this happens.

  • What a load of rubbish. Probably some unreconstructed Kurdish communist.

  • @Polonium211 How do you know that he is Kurdish? He can be Turkish for all you know. Not that it matters, but I find it amazing how you can be so sure that he's Kurdish. And you can't just say it's a load of bullshit. On what basis do you label it as bullshit? Get out of your little fantasy bubble and you'll quickly notice much of it is far from bullshit.

  • Good speach. I'm glad they have perspective & appropriate judgement as to what is going on. The government are trying to fermant a race war. Black & Turkish/Kurd are considered the same by this elite.

  • Well done to our Turkish brothers and sisters!

  • In other words, he's speaking out against the British govt and police for creating conflict between Blacks and Turks and Kurds. He defends shop keepers, as we all do, but says that the govt started it by their policies. As a Black man, I concur completely.

  • very interesting!!! which country is this gentleman talking about? i have been living in london and his words are so alien to me.

  • hi im from turkey. stay strong my british brothers. i had some friends in didyma/turkey there is lots of british people and i love you guys. you know how to party:)

hope this riot will finish soon. sorry for your casualties. peace

  • Very proud to hear such true words. I'm feeling the love and understanding!

  • brothers, i must urge you to be more sensible. the police are cool in this country. i am pakistani by origin and have never had an issue with british police. this is the time to join hands with the state not fight it.

  • watch how the news and government work, eventually, with a little dedication, you'll see they work the crowed.

  • This is a lot better than the absolute garbage some so-called 'socialists' are spouting, including on You Tube. When the shit hits the fan, it's clear who is on the side of our class.

  • unity from california

  • turkis people are amaising ive got loads of mates in turkey i visit quite alot in fact im going next week to antalya to see my mates i dont care what any one says the majority if turkish people are bloody amasing f u racist people

  • who is this guy anyway? he's probably a leftover Kurdish leftist from the 1970s or 1980s.

  • The guy is awesome......he speaks the total and utter truth!

  • Thanks for this. I live round the corner and sadly missed this live.

A posative and clear response to those who are trying to divide us further.

Please join us all on the demonstration 'give our kids a future' north london unity demo. That is going from Gillet square, back of Dalstan Staion at 1pm. It will pass stokey newington and then up to Tottenham green. Supported by Hackney alliance, haringey, Gikder, Day-mar, youth fight for jobs, Socialist Party and many others.

  • @gravington learn to write english in an understandable way if you want to get your point across^^

  • So if the police are the biggest gang on the street's, then why not simply remove the police from the street's of london. See how lonh they last before asking for them to return. Or if they don't like it here, why are they staying

  • Thank you. It is not often I am surprised like this, but your message reminded me why we must never make assumptions based on state media propaganda.

I wish you and your community well.

    Peace

    Toyin

  • Those shopowners pay taxes so they should expect the authorities which collect those taxes to at least protect them. They failed to do so, so expect those shopkeepers to be angry n say whatever they like...its not about muslims n non muslims here. Its a free country n they can say whatever they like..its not just a free country for some n not for others so sthu u recist scums.

  • Those shop owners pay tax so they should expect the authorities to protect them. They failed to do so, so expect any thing from angry shopowners. Its not about muslims n nonmuslims here...i can go on n on about this topic.

  • How can the government and media be blamed for social networking sites? Maybe not in their countries, but free speech here. If that is too hard to take, there are plenty flights home for them. Or are they trying to change this country to what they have fled from. Why come here in the first place?

  • erm while i agree with the message, there are many muslim groups that fit in the same bracket as the EDL and BNP! if you want credibility and want to hold the middle groud, muslim extreemists that call for death are slightly worse than calling for deportation

  • Remember the Police are controlled by The Worshipful Company of Security Professional. They're Statute enforcers and Revenue collectors working for the Crown Maltese at New Jerusalem (City of London). BBC is Common Purpose controlled as are the Police and they're destroying our society and system to usher in the Post Industrial Zero Growth Society which is the Post Democratic Society.

  • Bring in the Army,NOW

  • @EnglishWarrior100 Unlucky

  • Kurds are the Best

  • Note: Please respect each others comments as long it does not contain racist or Swearing words. We would block and remove any comments that contains such a word.

  • TheSwingingSword

that is not nice thing to say about turkish or kurdish people, these people work hard to serve the community, running their business which benefits the areas they live in and the economy and also even help police fighting looters where as no other community has done something like that, go on you bring turkish people down, suit yourself who cares about your little mind,

  • Who says this guy speaks for all the Kurds and Turks in Dalston?

  • @gravington This guy speaks behalf of 9 different charities that supports Turkish and Kurdish Community members. Plus if you watch the video, they are not condemning the shop owners who defending their premises or community. As you will watch they are condemning the government and police who brings out like Turkish people are against black people which can lead to an ethnic group fights in future.

  • @britannia247 I realise he's not condemning the shop owners and it's obvious that the Kurds and Turks have no problem with black people. There are black people eating in the restaurants and there is a black barbers and I think mini cab firm where the guys were guarding last night that was standing with them. But where does this idea come from that the government and the media are trying to divide the communities come from?

  • @gravington Its not idea, its a fact because the way it is publicised in social networking websites and news papers is like brave turks-kurds chased black people and another point is the day after this happen the police officers has came down to turkish shops one by one giving out a turkish traditional sweet cake and telling them they should not fair to use stuff to protect the area if they come back again. This is not something that community members to do....

  • @gravington we pay tax to police forces so they can protect our community in such event. put it in this way. if you as a person attack someone, that someone will attack you back. specialy if it is a gung got involved you should know they will do their stuff to take their revange from it

  • @gravington Asusual, the foreigners do not have much problem with the people using their services but are quick enough to blame authority despite the same authority giving them safe haven away from terror and persecution. If they are not prepared to live within the boundaries of our laws, foreign aid will pay their fares home. We have enough raving mad dogs without any more

  • @britannia247 in islington turks and kurds are cool with the black people.

  • Turks are the most intolerant people on the face of the earth. This man is a pitiful hypocrite.

  • @crusader1492 It's very obvious who is the intolerant one just by looking at your nickname.

  • @crusader1492 Wish the Turkish guy would go to Istanbul, Pakistan, and Mecca and say the same speech and apply the same philosophy to Christians, Hindus, and Jews. Maybe they should allow a Church to be built in Mecca and Bibles to be brought in. Funny how it is a One-Way street for Islam and they want tolerance in Europe but they will quickly exterminate non-Muslims in their nations.

  • @TeslaTechnologyRocks Are seriously saying that about Turkey? Do all of you right-wingers assume non-Western nations are totalitarian states?

  • @TeslaTechnologyRocks Yeah, I'm not going to defend Islam or any religion for that matter but you're wrong about Istanbul. Like London it is considered multi-cultural. In fact while people in Turkey do identify themselves as Muslims, it is a secular and modern country where other religions and races ARE tolerated. There are many churches in Istanbul already...

  • @crusader1492 Anyone who has visited Turkey begs to differ.

Hundreds of thousands of people visit Turkey every year and they never complain. One of the most common statements is "Turkish people are so kind, helpful and tolerant".

    Please take your racism elsewhere.

  • why are you here go away?
