you know episodes like this remind me way too much of the twilight zone from the 60's. I remeber an episode alot like this in which a guy goes back in time to the night of lincolns assassination and tries to prevent in it only to be foiled by john wilks booth.... go check out the twilight zone and tales from the crypt. AYAOTD is decent to good at times. Sometimes somewhat great. But for the most part it was mediocre acting wise. Twilight zone had it all...

Without the first couple steps, they wouldn't get the item. Without the middle step, there would be no climax or obstacle to overcome. The last step is a give-in. And the "fixing" step is the resolution.

Would you rather have it where it begins in the middle, not explaining how they got the item or into trouble to begin with?
