For who this app is useful? A man whithout hands need always to take the phone to watch, and attention and meditation are not easy to manage, it is easiest for him to use vocal comand.
I agree with you. At the time this was developed, the intention was to use it as a proof of concept regarding the possibility of using mobile devices for the handicapped. The device we used to read the brain waves only read attention and meditation level. I believe that nowadays it is possible to read eye blinks. So, it is easier to develop a "more usable" app using this technology.
people are so fukn lazy these days, it's ridiculous. Not dissing the app itself, it's a pretty awesome idea but seriously, it takes 1s for me to type the contact name on my desktop (without even going to the contacts app or phonebook) and it will show the results of my search, and i can simply txt or call them straight away. It's way faster than *thinking* about the contacts you want to txt/call.
@MrShadowz1337 Before cursing and being disrespectful think about this application as a first step to develop applications aimed for people that unfortunately do not have the same physical capabilities as you and can not use their hands.
YOU GO FOR IT!!! FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS AND YOU WILL ALSO HELP MANY PEOPLE WHO NEED IT!!!! THANK YOU FOR SHARING. ALSO I COMPLIMENT YOU ON YOUR ENGLISH. PLEASE ALWAYS KNOW THAT YOU ARE DOING YOUR BEST...DON'T EVER LET ANYONE JUDGE YOU FOR NOT SPEAKING ENGLISH FAST.....JUST DO YOUR BEST AS YOUR BEST SOUNDS GREAT!!! GOOD LUCK TO YOU WITH EVERYTHING!!!!
Hi Mirco, very well done! My compliments for the way you implemented your idea. This (kind of) application is well suited for many purposes - and that can be a problem. If you explain too much it will be stolen from you, by commercial firms or by secret services from dubious regimes. Use your imagination and think about ALL the possibilities. Be careful, protect yourself and others and adhere to your moral standards... Good luck!
The future has arrived! Not that this is in any way usefull to 'normal' people right now, with some polishing en better functionality/'noise' cancelling this could be how we're going to operate stuff in say 10-15 years... Very interesting technology
@eothred That is why Brain-Computer Interfaces are aimed for people with physical disabilities. They wouldn't mind walking around with that headset all the time. I am assuming your are not physically disabled :)
